Yeah all that clowning around in front of cameras is brutallol … what I was getting at , is the criticism about training . It was a season launch yesterday and today’s Saturday … seems a bit harsh .
Then passive aggressively use his media power to manipulate the rub of the green his teams way.No doubt will have a lot to say when his team is penalised out of a win.
Agree mate you can't train hard day after day, it can promote injuries and when it comes to gameday you have nothing left, it's a continuous management, if the previous game was a real tough one well you would expect a lighter training prep next week.Rest is just as important as training , if not more so . I’m almost certain every player has been given a “light walk” as thier Sunday workout .
They will begin to wind down once the trials are over . It will be about maintaining , not gaining . So if they haven’t made the necessary improvements they needed to by now , then they are all but out of time .
Gus the goldfish Gould you just love to hate the guy, but he does know his footy. Then passive aggressively use his media power to manipulate the rub of the green his teams way.
I hate him so much for the way he gets away with what he does, I wish he was here.Gus the goldfish Gould you just love to hate the guy, but he does know his footy.
Remember going to the "Woolwash"" on many occasions as a kid. Parked at the top of the hill and walked down. Not much parking at the bottom in those days. We've got "The Woolwash", Airds!! (Google it) then there's....
"Simmo's Beach", Minto!! Parramatta River, Canada Bay!! Homebush Bay, Homebush!!
Imagine him and Richo working together, now that would be a true dynamic duo.I hate him so much for the way he gets away with what he does, I wish he was here.
That would be two big egos. But was about to post imagine if we got Gus instead of Sheens as footy manager.Imagine him and Richo working together, now that would be a true dynamic duo.
They learn quicker. The coach will remind them very quickly it's a No No!Have neve been happy when receiving a penalty for this infringement and utterly spewing when our team gives one away.
Would rather the ref sent them back to play the ball with their foot than have some penalty attached. The stop in momentum by having to go back is penalty enough.
I'm not against playing the ball properly, but handing over possession is too harsh.
Most probably better but Sheens wasn't in that job for long enough, thought that was where he should have stayed, he has a high football knowledge as well just new coaching the side was headed for disaster. That would be two big egos. But was about to post imagine if we got Gus instead of Sheens as footy manager.
I was there as well. He coaches Sutherland and his daughter is in the side as well as my granddaughter. Can’t be much training going on at the tigers. I’m out at the NSW state oztag championships at Penrith. Seen John Morris yesterday and today coaching one of the teams. Heighno was out here yesterday with the Central Coast team as well.
Yep. Most weekends. It’s Saturday ? …. Do you work on the weekend ?
What makes you think this crackdown will change player behaviour vs all the other crackdowns? They learn quicker. The coach will remind them very quickly it's a No No!
We were not patient with Brooks?Yea maybe . And in hindsight , it’s easy to Monday morning quarterback it , but no one was saying that at the time .
Tim smith , ash Taylor , Jamal Idris , I mean all these guys lacked the humility and dedication , that Galvin appears to have in spades , so you’d think the odds of Galvin joining the one hit wonders is 1 in a 1000. But it’s not zero . That’s the point I’m making , and it’s basically a 💯 chance that at some point in the next couple of years he will hit a wall .
And that’s a good thing for him , because you don’t get better at things by knowing all the answers before you start .
I just think we will have to be patient . We weren’t with Brooks , we weren’t with Benji , to lesser degree we weren’t with AD, and I can see history repeating with Galvin .
We are a loyal fanbase , but geez we are pretty toxic and short sighted .
I was reading a Tottenham fan page today , and Jesus did it look familiar.
This not to bad or praise anyone , just to temper expectations . Because if he doesn’t live up to the hype , people on here will turn on him real quick .
AD is a perfect example . I was one of 3 people criticising him with his defence and unwillingness to hit with his shoulder . Was told to F off and I was a brooks pipe sucker , and a racist etc. now that’s the generic group think, and whilst it’s cool to be validated , it doesn’t change how toxic it all turned out to be when his attacking form fell off a cliff .
Brooks … nuf said . I honestly still think the fanbase and our attitude towards him was as much as a contributor to his never getting anywhere as anything else . We put all our hopes and dreams on a 18 year old and when he turned out to probably , needing to be dropped and developed for a few years , the club had made him the pinup boy , when he wasn’t good enough .
It all just feels like history repeating imho .
We didn’t get the spoon because Galvin played, we got it because our roster was rubbish. That is also the reason he was put in so early.LOL we didnt develop him much at all.
He impressed during the pre season and so was chucked in to starting 5/8th in the NRL team.
This resulted in yet another last place finish.
Benji should know better...we didnt develop him either. Had he come through a decent setup, the Marshal name would be spoken about as a future immortal, without fan bias attached.
Good development is not about speed. We didn’t get the spoon because Galvin played, we got it because our roster was rubbish. That is also the reason he was put in so early.
Surely Wests Tigers have had something to do with his development, which has been at a phenomenal rate. Whether that continues remains to be seen, but it’s hard to imagine him developing any faster elsewhere to this point.
Mental midget buckles under pressure. We were not patient with Brooks?
How many bongs did you smoke before typing that? We gave him 10 years.
Shittest player I’ve ever seen. Still is. Can’t wait for DCE to retire so he can be found out again.
Unfortunately, not being able to shut down broken field attack, can also be applied to many around him.Good development is not about speed.
He was elevated way ahead of his schedule and that would not have occurred at many other clubs.
Yes he looked good at times… he also looked terrible at times. When it came to shutting down broken field attack he had NFI whatsoever and why should he? He missed out on the development phase into senior footy and went practically straight from schoolboys to NRL.
