Whatās the options though . We told him heās not going over 13 games because we canāt afford to activate his next year ,so if he finds a better deal jump on it .
So weāve been honest and upfront with him , and given him plenty of Ty of notice .
And the fact is heās really a bench prop now unfortunately . For me if youāre talking now about a guy you bring on for max 25-30 mins a game , Iād much rather blood a kid and get the metres in his legs . I thought Tim Johannson did a klemmer impersonation on Sunday . All the way down to getting dominated in some tackles , which changed my point of view only to look up and see itās almost full time and heās got 150m and 70 post contact metres under his belt .
I thought Kit laulii looks to have been working on his sprints and deadlifts and looks to have added power and leg drive through his carries , so Iād like to have a good look at him . Sioni Fainu didnāt let anyone down last year .
And Alex seyfarth could do a job in the middle ( as much as I think heās an edge) , especially if we go to market and shake a shiny apple from Richos player tree .
Leadership is important , I agree , but man , being a good bloke when we can only make 30-40m out of our own half is going to wear thin real quick .
Even his mate Woods on that podcast admitted he was down the pecking order , and training harder than he plays on game day . Called him ātest matchā.
And itās the right thing by the player . Ricky Stuart refused to allow one of his players who he told wasnāt in his plans this year to leave early last year , I belive it was Woolford , only for the guy to play the year out in NSW cup , and basically completely lose the opportunity Ricky took away from him .
So you could do the piece of shit thing and say nah āstuff ya, go to NSW cup , and you can run the gauntlet come nov 1 on your careerā .

Are you talking to me?Then why the angst?
I agree that we were not getting much value from his rumoured 700k contract and if someone else such as the Dragons are happy to take him off our hands itās not a bad thing.Whatās the options though . Is Molo good?Cmon Molo for Klemmer deal, let's go!
Could also be Ivan at the Panthers as he realises he's ready to jump back on the bus as coach and bring nathan with him.Could be Luai - apparently he is going to be playing second fiddle here to Galvin.
Might as well stay in Penrith doing that and score another ring....
Spot on. No way we pay $750k for a KPP. I'd think $600k-$650k is closer to his value but we'd have to ensure whatever we offer doesn't put Samuela's nose out of joint. As you know the cupboard is very bare when it comes to any decent back rowers becoming available anytime soon.
Kai Pearce-Paul looks to be a standout, but Iām fairly certain he will be asking for 750k minimum. Heās shown talent, but Iām not convinced heās worth that much.
I like this theory the best thus far.Could also be Ivan at the Panthers as he realises he's ready to jump back on the bus as coach and bring nathan with him.
I think it would be a miracle if KPP signed with us for any less than 750k, but you never know.Spot on. No way we pay $750k for a KPP. I'd think $600k-$650k is closer to his value but we'd have to ensure whatever we offer doesn't put Samuela's nose out of joint.
Realistically, those 2 should be fighting for the same spot, not holding down 2 spots. For some reason we attract too many forwards of the same āLook like Tarzan, play like Janeā type.š¢
I sure he'll have a blinder of a seasonCoincidentally this appeared at zero tackle about Kai Pearce Paul who is unsigned for 2026

Top FIVE landing spots for Kai Pearce-Paul in 2026
The Knights star is set to test the market.www.zerotackle.com
Pearce-Paul is, rightfully, testing the market, which means he believes he can attract a decent offer. The Tigers look in a position to present just that.
With David Klemmer being shopped, Stefano Utoikamanu off the books and more moves to come, I can absolutely see a way to make room for the current Knight.
The Tigers have filled gaps over the past few seasons. Luai is a piece they can truly build around.

Yes.I sure he'll have a blinder of a season
How? I dont read newspapers. And thanks.Weāve just stepped it up a notch today AHX, every rugby league journalist in Australia has tuned in.
Why the F would you want to move Klem on now you have to ask, with the upgrade of Richo and the board you would think smarter decisions around timing would be made so it isn't a distraction before the season even starts, hoping my rant is wrong and a swap or another signing is getting done, it would be so un Richo like to not have something cooking. You know. No wonder we are always bottom. Just cutting players in the last minute. Call business on that. Void of team spirit. Why couldn't they inform him earlier.
Off the books and no obligations re game quota, which could become out of control. Eg props are injuredWhy the F would you want to move Klem on now you have to ask, with the upgrade of Richo and the board you would think smarter decisions around timing would be made so it isn't a distraction before the season even starts, hoping my rant is wrong and a swap or another signing is getting done, it would be so un Richo like to not have something cooking.
Another Great move by the tigers , well done.Richardson really knows how to upgrade the roster. This could create keen interest among player managers whose clients are stuck behind established stars to look for an opportunity and pay upgrade at WTs.
