OF COURSE Leniu wouldn't come out publicly bagging the club at the time, but behind the scenes both sides were fuming. Spencer thought he'd been hung out to dry, and the posh power brokers at the Roosters thought they'd been unnecessarily embarrassed.

Bag me all you want, Leniu is happening though.

I hope he’s got a BarSportsTV subscription so he can watch the lower grades replays in his spare time.
We would hate to inconvenience him on weekends by attending any lower grades games live when he is needing to spend time with his family and play golf.

You have to take opportunities when they present themselves. Klemmer was only going to play a few top grade games this year if any due to a clause in his contract, so this was a perfect opportunity to off load his contract.

It also puts the club in a good cap position to enter the market place if and when the right player hits the market. Time will tell if was a bad call, but I see it as a smart move

Cash talks and there is a cap. Clubs may be willing to lose a good young player in order to retain one of their established stars. Player managers will always be interested on behalf of their clients.
