I agree … but TDS is being rested for rd1. What I love is that our guns were not on and if they were only giving low % including TDS. Effort was still there despite same. It’s a trial but that’s the first game in a long time I thought we clearly won the middle. And yes we had May and Royce. But I am excited about not coming last! Possibly

He doesn't have the post contact metres at all. Gets ragdolled. Reserve grade for sure

Kit looking good again, I'd like to see him get game time this year. I find it interesting that people wrote him off after his one first grade game a couple years back, because I actually think he had a good stab at it on debut

I love a player that gets whacked in the melon and gets up with a smile on his face.He is ready for FG.

Needs to trust his inside man when the slide is on .
He’s always been guilty of distrust in his halves . That try down his just needed him to slide onto his opposite number , and let Galvin take the man with the ball. Once he jams , Staines james , and it’s all over.
Especially with someone as fit as Galvin tracking across next to him.

Toa looks fit and healthy - and had litltle opportunity - will have more with Laui

Eels looked super unfit and loved pushing the boundaries. Not sure how they didn’t get a sin bin for their six agains

And agree, Luai and Api will change our attack dynamics x10. Still haven’t seen what we are capable of yet fully

The Refs have left us alone this pre season .Hope its not 1 of their fades/crack downs they get over quickly.

Well just finished watching is everybody happy thought there was a lot of good performances but the standouts for me were May, Skelton, Galvan, Latu, Twal and Toa showed improved defense.

Bird was excellent. Tough tackler, smart awareness, little things off the ball were very good. Not an impact runner but just a proper rugby league player. If he keeps that form up he's exactly the sort of player this club has lacked.

May and our forward pack looked dynamic and physical.

Defense was mostly good, but the tries we conceded were really ugly.

All of our halves kicked well tonight and all seem to have better long kicking games. What happened?

Parra look really average. Obviously plenty of 1st graders out but I think they'll struggle with that forward pack.

Feels like we have a bit of depth at most spots for the first time in a very long time.

I'm still not convinced by seyfarth, think he needs more upper body strength so that he can be more dominant in tackles. He doesn't seem to be able to stop momentum.

Highlight for me was watching bird's defensive work. Great line speed, tough tackling and the right level of agro in the tackle. Based on that form I'm surprised Flanagan let him go, he seems like a Flanagan sort of player.
