OFFICIAL Jarome Luai - #295

Definitely a fluff piece but one thing caught my eye: “Hopefully I get to play alongside him (Sam F) out there on the edges. I’m not too sure what side he’s playing yet, but he’s definitely one of the guys that have impressed me a lot. “

From that I expect we haven't really started working on combinations yet and are focussed on getting the foundation established. Benji, if nothing else, appears to be true to his word - put in off the paddock and you will get opportunities.

With some depth around the squad we may see some real competition for positions. That can only be a good thing for us.
That pricked my ears too. Given we are getting near to games meaning something I’d suggest a smother.

Not even round one and injuries to important players already, Wests Tigers always throw up something fair dinkum.
What’s wrong with our medical team , olam should be recovered from his knees by now , and turuva had his operation 3-4 weeks ago , yet there saying he will not be fit to play in two weeks time . A English soccer player had his appendix remove and played two weeks later , AND yes it’s a different sport but they still have to cover lots more klms and get knocked about a bit

Beginning to think Olam's knees can't be fixed completely and will have to be managed from now on, Turuva if they burst can take a lot longer this appears to be the case it's frustrating I know but from past history following the tigers there is always something never smooth sailing.

Vossy has been saying for the last 2 weeks, that it's actually Bula who had the appendix operation. He said he visited the Tigers a couple of weeks back and was told Bula struggled with pain during the boot camp and didn't want to report it in fear of looking weak.

Not sure if he is confused or not but he has mentioned it on air at least 3 times now.

Yes they did say that during the dogs game

Turuva's appendix could have ruptured, which changes things a fair bit depending on the severity and surgery requirements such as keyhole or open.

According to Gus, Luai is a student of the game. Also says we have easily replaced Stef with Terrel, Hunt and Bird. No mention of Skelton probably butthurt the dogs lost him. Gus believes we have the squad to make the 8.

Lets put this in perspective. If you were a coach and you had a choice. Utoikamanu and Papali' or May and Hunt?

Experts agree we have upgraded on Stef. You know more then the experts?
You believe in the experts do you? You must be winning the tipping comp every damn year. Come on dude - you know more about the Wests Tigers than they do. It makes sense. You spend you life with Wests Tigers. One team. They have 16 or 17 others to be expert about.
