No debate is necessary. The narrative that Galvin's "team" will determine what success looks like for him to re-sign is manure. Did Pole need to determine the club's chances of success before re-signing? The certainty WTs' club and its supporters have is Galvin is contracted for the next 2 years on a modest sum. A lot can happen in 2 years and I believe these will his best at 6. Some have suggested it is only one year because he can sign for another club on 1 Nov. To me that underscores the priority for him to receive an upgrade from another club. Ian Chappell would always say to make the decision that your opponent would least like. We're fortunate Richardson is in charge. We are still debating on whether or not Galvin will extend his contract with us ?
I’m anticipating if we have a better than 50% win record after about 10-12 rounds this season and Galvin is a strong contributor, he will extend with us.
However if we are struggling for wins and well outside the top 8 by rounds 10-12, I think it’s every chance he will be leaning towards departing at the conclusion of his current contract.
Like in every aspect of life, success is crucial and happiness follows.
As for Wests Tigers as a club, not even our harshest critics can be critical of the direction we are heading in all aspects such as recruitment & retention which gives us the best possible chance to get the results required to make our players and fans happy.
The general consensus knows we still need a quality centre, a quality back rower and maybe one more quality depth middle.
I’m sure Richo and Benji are well aware of this and doing all they can to find the right players to bring in and that’s all we can ask for as fans.
I re-watched the Parramatta trial and came out a lot more confident in our forwards ability to collectively go the 80. Really looking forward to the Newy game now.Idk why I really have a special feeling about this year! 💙 I’ve been a Wests Tigers supporter my whole life, this year just feels different. Something is in the air..
I truly believe Jarome Luai and Terrell May will absolutely inspire our team into finals where we go on a massive run just like ‘05! Lachie Galvin will reach new heights with that iconic No.6 jersey on his back just like our Benji did 20 years back. Maybe I’m overreacting, but 20 years on from that amazing GF - the stars may just have aligned!
Dunno. It was even hard to find the line breaks tbhThey have a half break stat these days, how did he fair in that category?
You got stuck in for saying he doesn't make a lot of line breaks. I showed you the stats. 7 from 24 is low.See the results of them?
Not his only job to make line breaks though… he does a whole lot more.

I think there’s a lot to be said in a team to have a larrikin to lighten the mood aswellAs a football team, Success is damn good.
Life though. The happiest job I have been was working at casual hospitality. It was simple but damn fun.
Something said by Lazarus about the Broncos "Wayne made football fun again. I saw Brisbane and they were having fun".
Jason Ryles and others are going to focus on making the best physically conditioned team possible.
Benji I think is thinking a little differently.
I just hope what Benji's doing will lead to some wins but a conditioned team that enjoys playing together.
i.e. Think Penrith, not Storm.
He’s waiting for the chop from Dr Richo. When is Klem joining The Dragqueens?
Too many head knocks.thumbs down
Galvin will get a $20m dollar offer over ten years. Mark my words. That never happened …. We were paying Hastings 300k for that first year , and then he tried to renegotiate because the knights were desperate and gave him 800k and we said thanks but no thanks . He was released a few weeks later . Plus we wanted to move him into the middle permanently, and the whole Madge fiasco .
Just because another club is desperate for halves they’re willing to offer 300-400k overs , doesn’t mean we should . And yes that includes the 10 years 14 mil for brown .
Galvin is a good footy player ,and he brains it this year give him the 1 mil. But if he doesn’t , you’re now paying for potential , and a return to the bad old days where we are hoping guys develop into a rep player .
How big is the annual salary cap for reference?Galvin will get a $20m dollar offer over ten years. Mark my words.
Who's giving him that contract?Galvin will get a $20m dollar offer over ten years. Mark my words.
Will that include the cheap real estate deal, the financial management resources and new teeth?Galvin will get a $20m dollar offer over ten years. Mark my words.
Have to disagree with this reasoning. Throughout my childhood I was a crazy fan and it was my dream to play for this club I'd supported when I grew up.Is that kinda like how Mitch Moses's family weren't happy with how the Eels treated him as a Junior?
I love this reasoning that people 'invent' about a certain player never playing somewhere for some concocted reason that somehow makes it all make sense to them.
Galvin and his whole family are life long Parra fanatics - Somehow that never gets mentioned?
If they were taking odds of Galvin staying at the Tigers, Or moving to the Eels
- The Eels would be more likely shorter.
Would only be for money imo.I’ve said it a few times, and I reckon anyone on here would go back to their childhood club if the club came knocking with a sorry we were idiots back then but we need you and by the way here’s bucket loads of cash.
Not any time soon he won't.Galvin will get a $20m dollar offer over ten years. Mark my words.

Those two, Latu and Mason, would also put pressure on Galvin to accept less $$$ yo stay with Luai and WT as WT not entirely reliant on him as our savior? You hit the nail on the head paws, there could be another 2 putting their hand up on top of the 2 you mention, 2 years is a long time with a large and improved pathways system.
Depending on if he wants to stay yes, but if he is sitting on the fence the more money from another club will probably draw him away. Those two, Latu and Mason, would also put pressure on Galvin to accept less $$$ yo stay with Luai and WT as WT not entirely reliant on him as our savior?
