If they pay that much money, they’ll lose their job.I'm not hyping him
Gould is.
The league world is - Andrew Johns, Cam Smith, Billy slater.
If Dylan Brown can get a ten year $12M offer -- Galvin will get way more.
In the trial last week Galvin was a constant threat. And he's only 19.
Someone will bank on him to be a franchise player - and they'll pay stupid money to grab him.
You would remember B when the big four were here at the season start before 3 decided to jump ship, how well they played against a madge coached souths just teared them apart, then the unrest set in and it all fell to bits, makes you wonder if we could have kept them all if our history since would have been much better. And now he's captain of the club and will have basically played his whole career (From a kid) with them
- Bar his 4-5 Years at the Tigers.
I'm not saying he'll jump because his family is a fan
- But there is 1 Billion percent more chance of that happening,
Than him not going back because they cut him at 15 - As was suggested.
If they have a spot, and they have money and the interest, Only an idiot would think that Galvin won't heavily consider it.
So if you played juniors for the Tigers and they cut you free as you’re coming through, and you’re now playing for a team that has come last, and the new CEO (Richo), comes and says sorry, but the old CEO ( Fruit Pascals) is gone and we need you back. You’re childhood club you’ve dreamed about playing for needs you and your gunna say no?Would only be for money imo.
That's right: a bucket of cash.So if you played juniors for the Tigers and they cut you free as you’re coming through, and you’re now playing for a team that has come last, and the new CEO (Richo), comes and says sorry, but the old CEO ( Fruit Pascals) is gone and we need you back. I’d do for the Tigers in a heartbeat and I grew up a magpie.
Plus a bucket of cash.
$20M for 10 years for a second year player. This year.November 1 isnt that far away.
If I had a son with hair like Dora the Explorer I'd disown him too! 😂I remember having a beer with Aaron Woods' mum at the Orange Grove pre-game. He was playing for the opposition that day, but his mum was still wearing all Tigers clobber.
Totally agree Tucker, only takes one desperate club willing to take a risk on potential for them to start throwing money at him. We did it for years, paying overs for potential. We were desperate for success and thought it was our way out of mediocrity at the time.If they pay that much money, they’ll lose their job.
I don’t know why people compare Galvin to Brown…even suggesting Lachy will command more.
We went over this a few weeks ago. Brown has largely earnt his payday. Galvin has not in any way shape or form done so yet.
So when Moses played for the Tigers his parents didn't support them? All that might be true, but just as easily refuted when you look at what happened with Mitch Moses. Mitch's father was a Parra fan and Parra also cut him because he was too small.
For reference: https://www.smh.com.au/sport/nrl/yo...-cut-by-his-beloved-eels-20201009-p563m8.html
Woodsy is a flog, obviously didn’t get his smarts from his motherI remember having a beer with Aaron Woods' mum at the Orange Grove pre-game. He was playing for the opposition that day, but his mum was still wearing all Tigers clobber.

And I've conceded that my situation was the reverse in that I ended up at the club I played juniors for, not the one I supported.
Difference is all the players you grew up playing reps with are mostly still at the original club.
Whatever.
I think you are overlooking the point that I try to make,This is one of the more wild takes I've read on here. I actually can't believe anyone in the top couple pay brackets of the NRL wouldn't take less to chase success.
I hear fans say this all the time but I've never really seen any actual examples of it (I'm referring to your second paragraph here).I think you are overlooking the point that I try to make,
That point being, he went to the Rorters and got more than we offered, it just was not declared by the Roosters.
Have people not noticed how many players roosters get for less than other clubs offer, but then a few years later when East are letting them go they state Roosters are letting a player leave the club, that will free up 1ml of our cap money, but his original contract they signed him on we were told was only $600.000 a season.
Why compare? You compare yourself to others and you will always be dissatisfied notwithstanding that Galvin has 2 years remaining on his current contract.I'm not hyping him

I don't know who his parents supported. Never met the guy or his parents. So when Moses played for the Tigers his parents didn't support them?

He probably did get more than we offered when you consider the value of various intangibles such as that highlighted by Tucker. Those intangibles are legal and there is simply no evidence to suggest that he received more than what was offered in illegal payments outside of the cap. We've been mismanaged for to long to be a club that benefits from any intangible value and simply need to be better to not be out competed in such a way.
I'm not naive enough to believe all payments at all clubs are above board but there is no actual evidence of any wrong doing by the roosters and until there is I see no point complaining about it.
How many $$$ is 1mL of our cap? How would you convert liquids to AUD?I think you are overlooking the point that I try to make,
