Yeah...not sure it was that many...and ebcouraged by parents/manager...but youd have to think he already has his destiny in mind ...barring a miracle

Heck with us, it's Luai.

Yes they are rare, but they will come along....

Which points to Galvin. Sure he isn't going to be a Cleary, But is he going to be a Ponga and win the club games? Or is he going to be like Liam Fulton for us? A player that does a lot of work, keeps us competitive but isn't a game changer. ...


The options are there, but not that enticing. Latu at 5/8 on less but likely similar money if he finds form. Or Galvin being re-signed at some crazy amount above 800k.

We might as well do this, better we spend our cap on Galvin then the next miracle underperforming bench signing.

It’s outrageous . Whilst I don’t think it’s going to manifest to brooks level hatred should he lose form , it’s next level toxicity at the moment .
If we win games and he doesn’t want to be here , then that’s says more about him and his crew than anything else. And if it is another Mitch Moses type situation , where he’s looking for an excuse not to sign rather than looking for any reason to stay , then I couldn’t give a shit either .
We keep the development pathways strong and another kid will unearth himself .
Even this past year we’ve had Hayward and Godinet (granted very different positions) have the same hyperbole and buzz around them in the juniors . Even after losing large and whoever .
And that Brookes kid looks dynamite as well .
There will be plenty of good kids come through , who will be the latest kid everyone goes goo goo eyed for .
But that’s all based on a what if . He might love the joint and probably does. So just relax for the love of god people !

Never said people haven't paid silly money, but again, you take Galvins situation of a mill a season after 18 games talk and compare it to Reynolds. It's not equivalent.

If you want to make a comparison. Find one rookie, 19 or 20 years old that received a million a season after 18 games. That would be a fair point to argue.

Suaalii was close to that I thought??

Ash Taylor is the other player.

IMHO Mitchell Latrell could have demanded it after his first season. GI too.

Which is why I am shaken on Galvin. He isn't in the Latrell/GI league yet, I don't think he is as good as Suaalii.... Heck Galvin isn't that Gun scorer that these three players are.

Galvin is super fit and seems to have a good NRL head, can read the game.... Is that worth 1m?

Sualii didn't get close to a mil. I think it was 600k.

Ash Taylor is the only one. Played 1 game for Broncos and Titans signed him on a mil.

Ended in disaster.

I think most clubs have seen the big money contracts and 10 year deals not work out most of the time.

Galvin might be worth a mil one day, but right this second, he is absolutely not. Anyone that wants to pay that are overpaying. He needs a couple of seasons to assess his long term value.

Right now he'd be worth 600k. Still at the very top end for a rookie.

It’s endless and there’s another thread for it . Much like the brooks bullshit back in the day .
No one is offering anything new just repeating their own anxiety fuelled internal monologues for everyone to read . It’s boring and toxic . And will
Manifest into the same pits of yuck that the brooks thing did when everyone turns on Galvin . Like Brooks and AD before him .

It repetitive and boring but its a football forum. I certainly wouldn't describe it as "wrist slitting" or "outrageous", thats a little hyperbolic. There's what, a couple of hundred people on this forum, I don't think it dictates how the broader fanbase or community think or act. I just keep scrolling if I read something that's been said 100x before
