Yep 1 year loan deal and if he doesn't offer anything there, he will be back in 26 and we are stuck with him, can only hope he improves and souths want to keep him.

Yes you're right. He has a deal with us for 26 and 27.

We can only hope he does well at Souths and they keep him, but he knows if he comes back, he will play reserves, so he'll be looking for a club.

That particular situation is a bit wait and see for us.

At this stage none i hope! A couple might earn an extension, but club needs upgrades in backrow, and outside backs. All of the above range from backup for FG to Ron Massey level.

I reckon Naden was primed for a big year before his injury. Staines can stay as a top 30 on a lower wage. Doueihi will find a more lucrative contract elsewhere. The others can go.

Think Doueihi heart is wanting to play in the halves so good chance another club will want him if the knee holds up, Naden if he shows the recent form all season 1 year extension, the rest hmm don't think so.

The others are probably free to go if they can find a deal, but also handy for us on the right money.

It also gives us 12 months to find a suitor for 26 and 27, whether that's Souths or otherwise.

You have mixed up my original message anyway. It's very simple.

As it stands...TODAY...he is not worth a million because he has only played a handful of games. Has he played well? Yes? Has he played well enough for long enough to command a million a season? I don't think so.

If he puts a good season together in 2025, we still have him under contract for 2026, so he's unlikely to get a million from us during that time. 2027 will be his year.

in 2027, he would have played 3 seasons and if he's been consistent, then he will have earned the contract, albeit with a premium due to what you've pointed out being a lack of halves. Could a club come in and overpay...of course! It happens all the time. People on here talking about 20 million dollar, 10 year deals are kidding themselves - if you would wager on that, then I'd take that bet. One million a season is more likely, if, and only if, he has shown consistency during the time with us. I'd be happy to pay him a million a season also if he is a factor in success for the club. The only caveat being is to show that you can do it over more than 18 games - i don't think that's controversial.

What you have not factored in, is that every year, a new shit hot rookie comes onto the scene and steals the limelight. This may also happen and it's likely across a 2 year time span. You or I don't have a crystal ball and I'm not the one making future predictions. I am talking about right now. If you want to read into it more than that, then that's on you. I really don't know what you're arguing about.

Anyway - I can't keep repeating myself. It's the last comment I make on the matter with you.
