Was he in the GF? I don’t remember if he was but he was playing for the best side in the competition, the Knights aren’t anywhere near the Panthers level.

Remember when Luai played with a busted shoulder and had to retire?
The only reason Cleary was able to bring the side home was because Cogger stepped in the 7 role and ran the ship. This allowed Cleary to get a bit wider and play eyes up. It was a huge effort considering Yeo went off injured as well and Broncs were flying.

I think we can contain them with the right game plan.

They have a decent team otherwise.

Doueihi made it because with Api out we don’t have a goal kicker, if he has a shocker he might not be there next week.

I asked recently who would be our goal kicker (Doueihi not on the radar then) for round 1.
Was advised on this forum Luai can kick goals.

Mason also looks scared under the high ball while Bula rarely makes a mistakes. Bula also saves a lot of tries from line breaks too

They will test Mason early and often

Looked like Mason went up a gear in the trials. Did I hear/see someone say something about him getting sprint training in the off season and he is now one of the fastest at the club? He did look explosive off the mark.
I really like Bula, but he looks brittle. I always hold my breath when he runs it back off the kick and gets Belted. But I am glad we have him, he can be anything.

Wonder what, if any influence Richo has on team selections. The selections of both Faataape and Hope could be considered a shock. They were both playing Qld Cup 18 months ago until Richo lured them to the mighty black, gold, and white. Maybe Benji wants to keep on the good side of the CEO!

Agree .. Mason struggles with the high ball so Ponga will have a field day.
Not sure why everyone rates him tbh but would love to be proven wrong.
