Didn’t offer much tonight.
In our backline we have no pace outside of Mason and Turuva. It’s not going to get better either. I think we will struggle to score points this year and as a result. A real problem. We’ve never needed Naden so badly. Bula will replace Mason so that’s a wash. Our halves don’t look like beating anyone on the outside.
Whole game was Madge-ball like...
Hit ups and some dodgy kicks on the last.
Turuva kept out of the game.
Few things to work on for next week.
We need Taylan May in the team....

Doueihi’s shit. Can’t tackle, can’t run and wants to organise in the centres. Surely the roosters need someone in the halves & we can get rid of him

Really impressed with that, possibly best performance as a whole team in 5 + years. Lots to work on of course. With API and Bula we win that. Missed tackles an issue but stats don’t show the game- we scrambled better than I can remember. I thought our line speed and numbers in tackle in D was very improved

Our attack very clunky - line breaks minimal
At least with Bula and Korisau back might be different
But disappointed the Luai - Galvin pairing didn't combine well
57 missed tackles incl 37 in 2nd half
Thought Galvin and Seyfarth had poor games and Faataape not sure about him as Newcastle do a poor pass but he couldn't stop Marshew getting the winning try

If we had two decent centres I think alot of those misses wouldn't of happened.
Why were our forwards so spent?
You can't challenge the linesman's decision? Even though the bunker looked at it they might have looked harder ... they always make mistakes.

Roster problems are obvious. No edge players at all except for Samuela

We were fitter, and played for 80 mins. Execution let us down and also not taking advantage of opportunities. It was there for the taking. Lots of combinations need work, but it will get better.

Why does Galvin find it so hard to find a grubber to penetrate the line and not just rebound off shins. Short and long kicking game needs plenty of work.

Personally i think Galvin needs to be dropped solely on the fact that he needs to be shown its a team game. That run on the 5th tackle in the first half was disgusting when he had a line set on the left. The kid is good but i bet they had to widen the doors at the COE to fit his head through.
