Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

A big disappointment 😞. They definitely missed Appi and Bula, I think if they were both playing the result would have been different.
But in that game, attack wise we scored 1 try in the 7th minute and really did not look like scoring another.

Wheras they scored 2 and bombed at least 3 poss 4, yes Api & Bula will make a difference, but even if they play, I think Knights still beat us.

Appi and Bulla make a big difference once in the team
Mason off the bench only
Twal was ok but Klemmer for mine still better
We need a centre and a hard running back rower urgently, not in 2026
If young May gets he clear in court I would sign him up .
Positives - May , Bird , Hunt and, Turuva , Skelton all were good
May very good , Hunt also with his runs
Fails - Galvin overplayed his hand , needs a kicking coach as that was very average to watch
Sione To start on right back row next week , Seyfarth bench .
If Bulla not ready - Staines to wing Turuva to Fullback

dreams are free…. Maybe young May will help? When was his last game? Has he been keeping fit?

We lacked in faster play the balls, which seems to be a year in year out problem that needs to be coached more into this team to get on the front foot. We were the better team in the first half, but simply did not play for the 80 minutes to come away with the win once again.
Agree, Knights relied very heavily on hands in the ruck and the ref did very little about it, I hardly recall any 6-again calls?

Api was a headless chook last year

We need structure

Until then our attack will suck
You have got no idea mate

What games are you watching because it cannot be the same game that majority of the fans are watching here. To say Api was a "headless chook" last year is beyond me, he was the main reason as to why we even had proper attacking sets when we did?

I dont usually post much on this but some of you blokes live in fairyland expecting our players to be like penrith or storm. We are not there yet. It takes years to achieve a level like that. Shane Richardson has probably done the best job he has been gifted within the year hes been CEO. But blokes are to quick to finish the narrative and write the tigers off. Give it time Rome wasnt built overnight

What frustrates me aswell is the fact some of you so called tigers fans are the equivalent to infant kids throwing tantrums when things do not go your way.

For what reason do you think that the tigers should immediately be a top 4 side in the NRL ?

There were so many positives in that game against the knights. Although we could have conceded more tries to poor execution from the knights, however, our defence was a lot stronger then it has been years prior.

Also, big wraps for Heath Mason. Although the bloke wasnt a stand out and did cough up a costly error the bloke ran it up the guts and was under pressure a lot of the time and stood his ground. To be a 19 year old Fullback in the NRL has got to be one of the most pressuring moments. He done what he could do he is still learning don't beat up on the young kid.

Personally, i feel as though Galvin's cryptonite is a good fullback. It has come to some reflection that the games that galvin hasn't performed well in last season was against teams with good fullbacks. It looked like he was to worried about where kalyn was going to be on last which performed some poor execution and decision making. Lets hope the bloke turns it around he's still young and has a lot to learn

99 times out of 100 - api would pick the ball up and not know who he was passing too bc our halves were playing off the cuff … it wasn’t Apis fault, it was Benji “ play what you see football “ fault.

We literally had the worst attack in the league.

As for your insults - I don’t need to say anymore - you can tell more about your mental state than mine

Not 1 sweeping back line movement last night.

Last night Newcastle should’ve scored 4 more tries - we got every call basically and had numerous sets on their line and we had zero.

Our team plays like headless chooks bc Benji encourages play what you see. No shspe, no setup, no simple block plays. Zero!

Rome wasn’t built in a day - congrats on knowing a quote.

Benji is in his 3rd season now. In football coach lives - Rome is on its last legs.

Why are we always looking for a saviour ?
It’s a team game and no one person is going to do it. Just watched the replay and both our attacking and defensive structures were very poor.
No real cohesion which is the same as previous years. Good to see Benji has rolled out his canned press conference face, I hope that was just a front for what must have been very disappointing for him. I know he has to defend the team, but boy it must have hurt inside.
Anyway, onward and upward they say. We’ve knocked off Parra a bit recently and they have no Moses.

Well … of course it’s a team game … but when you have a weakness the opposition looks to exploit it …

You can perhaps get by with Doobie if his attitude is good on the day …. But sorry .., the other guy isn’t up to it

Doobie is a keeper my friend, don’t you get it and he’ll be there, May or not. Has the backing of the coach .
