Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

So let's not take Galvins word for it but believe Buzz Rothfield & James Hooper whose jobs it is to generate clicks. Like they are such men of integrity 😂
Given his actions last year, I’m dubious. Someone puts a mic in his face, he naturally denies it, and you say “I’m sold” like you would expect a different answer.

If he said it you don't think there would've been more noise around it? From the club or the players leaking it to their managers? Buzz & Hoops spoke some shit on 360, Galvin denied it & it was never brought up or heard of again. You obviously have a narrative in your head tho.

Don’t get the Parra and Galvin links.

If he leaves it’s to win football games and I think parra are further behind than us.

I’m more worried about Manly sniffing around post DCE retirement tbh.
Don’t worry Teddy23
Manly will be after an organising no: 7 as it didn’t take them 10 years to work out Brooks is a running 5/8 not an organising half,
which is exactly what Galvin is as well.

You all do. Like your life depended on it. It ain't real till it is. On the other hand - the banter is good - I mean - what else is there better to talk about. Right?

Disagree. Rationally speaking, if I was Galvin I'd want to see how we go this season before committing to my future. I am buying less and less into the Galvin hype so I couldn't care less either way. If Luai doesn't take control of this team I am done as a supporter I've had enough.
Yeah mate, I share your frustration. It's a work in progress, we are a lot better than the effort on the weekend, the guys will gel better in time. Benji needs to teach Galvin to pick his moments and not feel like he always has to make the play, young guy just looks like he's overplaying trying to do too much.

Idk about this lock business. I’m yet to hear one commentator suggest such a move. The only place I have heard he’s destined for the forwards is this forum. But everyone seems to be reading writing on the all for us signing May, yet there’s writing on the wall for Galvin leaving too

- Asks for a release twice last year
- Spits the dummy in the dressing room after the game
- Won’t commit to the club, uses the old “Leaving it up to my manager”
- Management notifies other clubs of their intentions to take him to the market

If you were looking for indications that a player and his management wanted out of a club the first chance they got, you couldn’t find any better examples of the above. The question will be what will do with him in 26.
If he signs elsewhere I want the best backrower that club has for an early release. Either way as soon as he announces his decision to leave if he does. That no 6 jersey instantly goes to Latu. He is our future.

Or he looks like he's forming a working relationship with Luai. You are correct. In other words. A work in progress. The frustration will dissipate in time. Its a journey. And its only the first step.

And people say Richo is great getting things done , so how the hell do u let large walk without getting Galvin signed , it doesn’t pass the pub test , but that seems to be what he has been good at letting players walk
Has Galvin left yet or did I miss the announcement? Did he actually win us a game yet or his record still at like 25% W/L? What we do know is he was extended last year when his manager was angling for a release.

We have kept some of our best juniors under Richo eg. Makasini, Pole and really junior players like Godinet, Tapau-Moors and Xavier F.

I'm unsure what more people want from Richardson in terms of signings in a 12-month span. The stadium deal still sucks and that is my only criticism of him so far.

Who has he let walk that has ever made an impact on an NRL game and still would? I count Papalii and...that's it.

Large is no sure thing. In the few SG Ball games I saw he showed plenty of talent but very, very little physicality.

Our squad is stronger with him than without him no matter what position he plays. His contract is great for our bottom line because he is not costing WTs much $. Happy days for our club.
