I've been saying for months that if the Tigers didn't get Galvin locked up before the start of the season he was as good as gone. Now it sounds like he never really engaged with even discussing an extension.

Whatever, it is what it is. It pisses me off that we don't seem to be able to retain any of our best young players - I mean, I know some are going to leave but I honestly can't think of the last time we had a genuinely coveted young player and they didn't sign elsewhere at the first opportunity or sooner (well, Tedesco was the second opportunity TBF but even that took a superhuman effort to stop him leaving... for Canberra, FFS). But c'est la vie.

What really irritates me is that the club must have known progress wasn't being made on an extension with Galvin, yet they still let Large go at least in part on the basis that he was stuck behind Galvin. There's a good chance this will end up being Papenhuysen all over again. If we're going to keep losing our young talent we have to maintain the queue coming through behind it, at least.

Got to make sure Latu does not get p’d off also, give Galvin a deadline, won’t make him sign if he has no intention of doing so, but if he doesn’t sign, pick Latu in NRL, swap Galvin for a 2rf

Surely we could use releasing Klemmer as leverage to sign Molo if we wanted him ?
Bringing in Molo and Taylan May would make us much stronger and increase our depth substantially.

Richo - why we got to pay an exorbitant fee for a trial game and our families?

Richo wanted to make a motza from the ticket prices at the trial, because if we keep losing with the players we have signed no one will be turning up to games for the rest of the year.

Absolutely baffling.
Only thing that makes sense is that he was ostracised for not getting along with the boys there. He is big on fitness, family and god.
That obviously doesnt align with the rank and file of that joint.

There’s no way Richo doesn’t have the smarts to tell Galvin he’s here seeing his contract out and that’s exactly what will happen.
Sign elsewhere or not, he’s here for 2 years and will be selected as Benji sees fit.
Releasing him early just sends a signal that regardless of your contracts, any manager any time can bully your player out of his contract.. won’t happen on Richos watch.
And if his form goes off, he’ll play reserve grade .
I’m at the point I really don’t care if he stays or goes. But either way, he’ll be here until end of season 2026.
His choice is simple.head down and become the king of campbeltown or float around for 2 years while Benji and Richo get on with it .

Yeah he keeps picking Drinkwater at fullback. Great in attack but never made a tackle in his life. How can you hype on about defence and allow no accountability?

At least with Nanai he has. Nanai has a tendency to slide off tackles a few times a game. Must think it's an offence only game

Ipap and Bateman were let go due to salary caps advantage’s for us. Galvins on peanuts relatively speaking , on current contract.
Stef. Off contract.
Galvin won’t be going anywhere until his contract expires. NRL is turning into a circus , Galvin will see out his contract.
I think he’ll extend long term anyway. But if he doesn’t, he’ll be here till end season 2026

Who has he let walk that has ever made an impact on an NRL game and still would? I count Papalii and...that's it.

Large is no sure thing. In the few SG Ball games I saw he showed plenty of talent but very, very little physicality.

Wake up it’s not the quality of the players he has let walk , it’s the fact he has done so with no replacement coming in or a swap coming our way , take the Richo glasses off and see what plenty off others see
