OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

Believe me or don't believe me Galvins future 100% depends on how the team travels this year. If we are still in the finals race by August or September he will extend with the club. If the team is travelling poorly he is gone. One thing I know for sure is our offer will be as good as anywhere else. He loves the club & really wants to stay but wants to make sure the team will improve before committing long term.
So his heart is only in if we win?....so entitled...!!!....playing sport, I learned how to lose first (humbly) before I celebrated any wins

Be sad but. We all feel it. Well. Most of us. We'd like to keep our best. However we should know best life dont work that way. We still bearing emotional scars from Teddy and Moses. Elite level.

This is what happens when a good kid gets a shady player agent provocateur like Moses. He's not exactly on the Christmas card list of the Wests Tigers.
Nor the Roosters..hes burnt Uncle Nick, who wld otherwise be very interested.
Moses has single handedly removed from the game any concept of loyalty or investment in juniors ,as he takes every one of his clients to auction at every opportunity for best short term $$
We shld treat his underperfmers at WTs accordingly(eg Tumeth).Works both ways.

If Galvin loves the club as he openly states in inteviews, but is concerned whether we are on the up as a club, why not sign the same contract as Luai has, 5 year deal with PO/MO clauses after 2 years.... This way he has his cake and eats it too!!... I'm sure Richo would agree to such a contract as he did with Luai.....But no, the entitled one wants to string the club and its supporters along by rolling out these "scripted" love lines about the club only just to have his name in the "Player Market" headlines and his name bandied around on NRL 360 and 100% footy, raising his marketability profile...

We saw how poorly he played last week, don't believe the BS he rolled out when he said his focus is on playing good footy and not his contract...subconsciously of course it is on his contract....and you can bet your bottom dollar when no one else is looking he is also readings these posts!.

Show some conviction Richo and Benji, show this entitled one a 5 year contract, put a deadline to sign or else its #13 or KOE cup for the rest of 25 and 26

Parramatta did burn Galvin. Will Galvin remember? I mean. He was just a kid.
After they offer a 7 digit sum for 5 years.,memories can fade quickly...the future is the focu$$
Besides..new management..new coach....same old results..maybe worse with Ryles
Im hoping we give them an absolute shellacking on Sunday which will throw a spoke or two in a few wheels!

I totally get it. Please allow me transcend your words in a higher vibration... if you dont mind - the shellacking of Parramatta.
In saying that - since Balmain and Wests took the brunt of questionable decisions from referees in the finals - back in the late 70's early 80's - I had a soft spot for Parramatta. The Electric Eels.

I don't see how Galvin holds up at #13. He'd be asked to defend against other teams props & he just isn't close to an aggressive defender.

If he moves for 6/7 it's either as a second rower (from his Harold Matts days) to play a Wade Graham style game, or he's a centre.

Thing is- everyone pigeon holes him into being 'another Yeoh' etc. I think he gives the club great versatility if he plays wider- think how Turbo & Latrell played in the centres in SOO & ripped QLD apart. Galvin could play an edge as a second rower or centre, Latu or Luai the other edge, and the left over from Latu/Luai gets to roam around. We don't use our second row or centres properly anyway- so playing Galvin there would hardly impact their input.

Gagai defends on the right.
The stat they mentioned indicates that Galvin and Luai went left 27 times as opposed to 5 time down the right.
Exactly
Our right edges will hardly see any ball through the hands because both Galvin & Luia prefer running and passing to their left.
I saw twice against the knights we had numbers on the right but both times the play went left.
If it doesn’t change our right side 2nd row & Centre better get used to tackling and just taking a hit up now and then.

Exactly. Known for creating opportunity. Known for exploiting forwards not being one. Kid Gloves.

Unfortunately, the timing and money for Browns move is obviously of great interest to Galvin/Moses so he’ll be in no hurry. Especially with Gould talking him up ad well.
For what it’s worth, imo Luai is a 5/8 not a 7 so I’d be swapping them asap.
Agree with you there Hal,
Unfortunately I think all our halves are no6’s all enjoy running the ball not 1 of them is the organising no 7 we need.
Out of the 3 I do think Luai is our best option to turn into that type of player we need.
Fingers Crossed 🤞

Hot take (if Galvin goes)- Put Jack Bird at the #6, but as a hitter, not a ball-player. Essentially what Fiji did with that sh*t #7 that used to play for us (so sh*t that I forget his name lol.) They played a 2R at #6, but he didn't play as a 6. He played as an extra front/second rower, and the 7 ran the halves

Would that work, or is it absurd lol
