OFFICIAL Taylan "Tiny" May

I assume Richo and Benji are trying to work out just how much the guy really wants to play football. It will take time to unravel the mess that is Taylan's headspace I think.

I
The club have been professional about recruiting since big mouth and the forehead were punted.

If Olam's medical retirement is announced tomorrow, could Taylan be announced Friday? 😲
Thats how we fund May..but maybe a little seperation as its too transparent
Like for like replacement btw...both premiership winning centres.
We dont have too many of those

It has to be taken into account that Taylan is a rough and tough bastard who adds serious starch to the backline. It should also be considered that one of our best players wants his brother here. Id like to hear what Luai and Turuva think after spending a couple of years with him.
Obviously clauses are required, but this is a signing that will bring more wins.

it should be a no brainer that they bring in Talylan as a straight swap for Olam… particularly with his brother in the team as well who seems to do things well off the field and can (hopefully) keep him on the straight and narrow …. Not sure what the hold up is here ..thought it might have happened by now …hopefully they are working behind the scenes to get it done …

You would hope Taylan spent the last 12 months working out his headspace.
You would think given this is probably his last chance if ever charged and or convicted in the future, he would understand he is being given a lifeline for his future for whoever signs him. If not,. he is as dumb as .........

I reckon we also try to sign the Taint brothers and MacGregor, get them working in the tuckshop selling party pies at half time.

I'm not saying it applies to Taylan but that line of logic that represents how rational people think is not how grubs think. They don't think, they operate on impulse.

True some are grubs for life. However, even grubs can morph into butterflies over time.
Have met a number of people who were quite violent when young but 'saw' the light as they got older and better equipped to handle their triggers and past.

Why no rush if we are interested?

If we aren't as it appears then I'm not fussed....but if we are interested why take our time if we don't have to?
Agree if we want him sign him up as soon as possible the media will jump on us whenever we act so do it straight away, rip the band aid off.

I saw a comment from Wayne Bennett on Brandon Smith. It was along the lines of,

' I don't care what he has done in the past, he is coming to a good club and he will be fine '

Hopefully that is how Benji/Richo maybe thinking ?
Bennett also said this beauty of a line "Bennett, who once famously quipped “if you have a team full of choir boys you’ll win nothing”.

I think the pull from Terrell will be enough to convince him it's his bro and he's playing good enough to play origin like people been saying Richo operates differently. Work in silence and then pounce.

We have to understand that with the 3 peat spoon we aren’t in a great spot to sign top level centres. Taylan is the perfect guy for us, we are losers and he has been a loser. So all square, start fresh give him some council to keep the punters at bay.

To'a has impressed the last week. Doueihi doing well and is our goal kicker.

Just wonder whether we are weighing up the risks against signing him when we have 2 guys doing a decent job.

May's stats are better on the wing and Skelton and Turuva look good so far.

Perhaps we are thinking he is surplus, when mixed in with a big offer on Galvin and the need for forwards.
