As far as Galvin & TDS is concerned I think it's almost a package deal. Best mates. TDS fully committed, Galvin will follow if the money is close/good enough.

Scott Salter on SEN yesterday said he believes Galvin won't hit the open market as Richo is the best person in rugby league history in "selling a dream" & has a very close relationship with Galvins parents.

Prior to this he said he spent the week with Blake Solly from Souths for his dad's anniversary. Solly & Richo very close. Take from that what you will.

I'd be shocked if anything is sorted before the off season with Galvin

Hopefully they can sign up Tal before then. Even someone like Skelton could do with an upgrade and extension if his form continues, he's only on about $300k.

I think Tim sheens deserves abit of credit here the bloke has a great eye for good Jr footballers. He stated this is the best crop of he’s he’s ever seen 3 years later there playing consistent first grade.

Tim Sheens went & handed a bunch of kids who are no where near ready to play NRL a bunch of top 30 contracts & was a big reason why we copped spoons… he doesn’t deserve any credit

can’t agree…Sheens made some really bad signings that they are still paying the price for …

Would love Fifita but the way our squad is structured we couldn't carry him on anywhere near his current wage, if Galvin doesn't re-sign we would have cash to spend though.

Did Galvin and Latu play together and aren't they close?

I thought Galvin/Latu/TDS and Feledy were all friends in junior grades or something.


Both Benji and Richo are making us the mates club. We keep players by building friendships and a strong player group. Seemed to work at keeping the core 2005 group together at the Tigers for a long time (take from that what you will).

Honestly, I would prefer fewer changes going forward. Yes the Big 4 failed us in the past, but if we can keep a core group playing together we can build a team that we like and is worthy. I am also thinking it's probably wrong to build a team around halves... Particularly 5/8. This failed us with Brooks, we needed to change and couldn't. You can keep Center's and keep front row together.
