I was at Bonny Hills today, it was big and rough, not for the faint hearted, but a nice curl out the back. A few of the younger guys were gunna take it on after work.
To big for me these days.

Been 10 years since I surfed, would be scared to dip my big toe in today.

I was not going anywhere near that scary ocean today, it looked like it’d eat you and the board whole.
But I can still walk the plate with a roof sheet two stories up on a windy day with no harness, wada rush!!!

You’d have to date drug me, straight jacket and drag me off the coastline for any length of time. I need the salt air, the saltwater and the sandy ground or I start feeling land-sick.

Yeah have surfed and fished the ocean since I was 12 been living right next to it for 30 years, it's a calming influence in your life it would be difficult to move away from it withdrawal would set in lol.

I’ve live in west Sydney and blue mountains, but it will never leave the coast again

Guys just went for a hike on some high ground overlooking the ocean man it's massive, 10 feet plus 7 levels of white water spectacular to look at.

Well at least you know what the ocean is like. I asked your neighbour how the beach had held up following the swell (thinking about going for a fish) and he had no idea. Though is keen to throw a line.

How you going mate, it will need a week for the ocean to clean up and settle down and then you can get him out for a fish which is a good idea to get his mind off footy, it's been upsetting him lately lol.

Check this out. I often go down here either for some lunch - a fish or a swim...its usually wavelss and very calm all the way from Kyeemagh, Brighton & dolls Point

Anytime is a good time for a fish doesn't matter if you come home empty handed mikey, how did you go with your bricklaying.

Monday wasn't a great day to start 🙂 Also, working on a 1984 XT200 for beach fishing so that had my attention.
Laying first course and maybe a little more. Seems to be going ok so far (famous last words) 🙂

Long wharf takes you out to pretty deep water. Nothing doing with my rod —-through in a hand line using worms for bait, got four decent size leather jackets one after the other. Need to go back there after some success, started fishing around 6:30 am.

Swansea bar cam was really pumping yesterday with 4-5 metre swells. It should die down Friday/Saturday. I will probably go for a run and fish the back of Moon Island. Good chance of some reds after the stir up.

I miss fishing in sand , n where the salt can be smelt in the water.Leather jacket night was 3 times a week in the 90's.Garfish where around 32/38 $ a kilo last peek ,Mullet is another trash fish of the past missed

Many John Doray or flounder back in the habour system since the 2000? shut down - its it reopened ?
