OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

So that probably means latu is really dirty to

Once Galvin gone than latu rumours start

Than he leaves and his brothers want out

Than May sees the tigers were never interested in his brothers and he wants out

Bloody hell this will end worse than the 2018 debacle LOL
You've been around too long and going down the rabbit hole...

Slow down 🙂

There's still a slim chance that Galvin doesn't want to leave but wants to test the market and see which coach, team and money he can play for... And if the tigers is the best option he will resign...

The tigers may have just said, "nah it doesn't work for us mate, your in or your out"

I think the club made a call on it and Galvin never said he wouldn't consider a contract after November. That's just me speculating though

Good form from Richo, calling it early.

Lachlan is a talent but there are other players, shouldn’t pin on one. He is still developing and lots of bad plays for many years until he matures for the money.

Latu, faster of the mark, better defender, and straightens up the play deep in the line. Definitely a better long term half. Just needs the time on the field is 1st grade gal in has had.

To be honest it is stupid that this is happening now and not year. NRL should fix.

I can see it now....Galvin playing the mental health card and running to the RLPA...to get an early release

All he has said is he wants to play football and let his manager deal with the contract.

Well his manager has dealt with it.

I surprisingly am happy that it has been decided and we can move on rather than wait until Nov 1 and be told then.
We can choose to do what is best for the Club now which does not include a 19 year old kid who has potential to be a good football player. His best attribute is his fitness and to be given a chance to showcase that in FG when other clubs would have had him in Ball, Flegg or KOE has inflated his own self worth.

I would prioritise Latu over him once back from injury. Lachlan Galvin with a 6 or 7 jersey in KOE or 18 Jersey in FG where he would get to sit on the bench and see his teammate out there enjoying hopefully another win. I was at Leichhardt last year when we played the Titans and he was rested after complaining of playing through injury after wanted out the week before in the Dragons game and we won without him. He can relive that for two years.

Let the RLPA complain but Tallis sat out for a year so Galvin can train and sit on the bench for this time and see where he develops.

I support how the club has handled this as Galvin has asked for a release numerous times which is similar to Tedesco ( signing with Raiders ) and we saw how that finally panned out and who we lost
(Paps to the storm) holding out to support players that were never going to stay.

Be interested to see what happens on Monday at CommBank along with Team list Tuesday

Happy its done with.

He clearly is more interested in money and chasing trophies than working hard and.playing with his mates...i get its a business but it seems ungrateful.

Lock up Tallyn now please

Feel sorry for the kids that started to look up to this bloke...f*** him...better off without him...just hope it doesnt affect our season and as someone else mentioned how will his team"mates" respond to this
I share the same feelings here champion @innsaneink - things won't fester.
But at the end of the day, playing with your mates at the top level is a gift rarely won, and this player has turned his back on that.
Reminds me of the time when Terry lamb was re-signed by the then Wests Magpies CEO, Ray Bernasconi, for ONE year and he then moved over to the Bulldogs. We fans "died" but we also "survived."

Think he' has little confidence in the club ascending the ladder, without really giving the coach who brought him this far a chance to prove otherwise
Or maybe he’s seen enough, or maybe it’s just the dollars. Limited loyalty these days, plus the Brown contract opened the doors big time. Guess you can’t blame him, interesting to see if he does live up to the wraps.
Obviously don't think we should drop him, but I'd like to see Benji change the game plan a little

We don't have much attacking structure and Galvin has been given free reign to play what he wants - id like to see Benji pull that make and set more structure to our edges now instead.

No reason to cater to Galvin anymore
why don’t you think we should drop him ?

Players leave clubs all the time
Do any of the top clubs drop players because have signed elsewhere
If you want the players to act professionally as a club you have to be professional
Players/ rookies leave clubs all the time when they are seeking what we were offering Galvin. He wants no part in it so it would be stupid and unprofessional on our part to support his career above a player who may have a point to prove who wants to play for the club.
No ill will but no favours either.

Gus strikes again ( as per Ciraldo).
I wrote in a post (couple of weeks ago? Dunno - I'm old...I'll see if I can find it) that Gould is the epitome of Machiavellian and very cunning with what he puts out there.

Says dogs are not interested in Galvin, simultaneously calling him the best teenager he's ever seen - despite being at Penrith when Fittler was first there for God's sake.

* Actually, was Gould at the roosters when Fittler moved?

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if this is a classic misdirection and Galvin ends up at the dogs.

And any talk of fitting him into their cap is moot imo; we've all seen in recent years their ability to offload players in bulk to accommodate their shiny new toys.

I’d imagine the Dogs offer was considerably more than what the Magpies could offer in those troubled times. Galvin is pretty much saying your tinpot club isn’t good enough for me.
