OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

If that club is manly or the eels … then that’s horseshit . Turbo is 2 years off a medical retirement , and then it’s Galvin , Olakuatu and not much …
The 4 teams being named are;

Manly - like you said, Turbo is always injured and no DCE... he's in the deep end there.

Eels - bad to worse. As if their coach is any better than ours. It makes sense tho... he's a junior and childhood fan. Moses as the 7, etc. Yuck though.

Roosters - to partner with who? Sam walker? Can't see it. They can't have Galvin & DcE you would think. Good coach tho.

Dogs - to what. Take Burton's place? Burton is the man at the dogs. Maybe to play 7 but that's a weird pairing, they're similar really. Good coach.

It all makes no sense.
What more can ya do for this kid?
He's done himself no favours.

The club needs to draw the line in the sand and send a message like Bennett did to Hodges all those years ago.

Send him straight to NSW Cup for the rest of this season and next season. No release, no permission to negotiate for an early release in the offseason. Stick AD at 5/8 and Naden into the centres until Latu has recovered.

Why should we continue his development in first grade over the next two seasons just so some other club can reap the benefits?

The club has bent over backwards for this arrogant little turd and didn’t even have the courtesy to review the offer. It’s a slap in the face to the club.
Some tough love. I'm inclined to agree, as soon as Latu's hand has healed, get him in the team, and Galvin can play it out in reserves. Looks like some of the team are not happy, too ...

How the hell do you face your coach , the next day , after telling
people he is the reason why you want to leave the club?
This was obviously said at the meeting , but it is all over the news now.
How does that make Benji feel?
How do the rest of the playing squad feel?
I dont believe for a second that Benji is the problem . Moses and the parents have
come up with that to get him out early by trying to infuriate Benji with those comments.

Benji left us in 2013, and was fat and disinterested. That's footy. He wanted to play Union. It happens.

He's free to play wherever he likes. Its the player market that is absurd. If we have a player signed to a contract until the end of 2026, he should enter the open market at the end of 2026, like any other contract situation in any other sport. Its the most Agent friendly transfer market in professional sports, by far.

Wouldn't it be great if the NRL changed the rules on the back of this and then he couldn't negotiate Until the end of 2026...

Can't see it happening but it would be a good laugh

Moses putting the pieces in place to make it an untenable situation for Galvin to see out the remaining of his contract. Just wait for it, pretty soon it will be Galvins mental health is an issue due to the situation.

My two cents. Good on Richardson for drawing a line under the Galvin contract speculation. No doubt it will continue but WT are now dissociated from it. That alone will pour pressure on Galvins performances.
I hold no particular ill will toward Galvin, though if the media noise is right, I think he has shown poor form. That said, I would only play him until Latu is available, and then focus on Latu fitting into the squad, Galvin can play lock or kick stones.

Who gives a shit. Galvin was nothing 2 years ago and there will be other opportunities in the future. Galvin won't last anywhere is he's sooking about playing second fiddle to highly accomplished NRL players like Luai. WTs under no circumstances let him leave, it's costing us bugger all. We prioritise Latu and Galvin plays THIRD fiddle for 2 years.
finally.
I’ve said this numerous times. He is contracted to us until end of 2026 as a member of the top 30 - doesn’t mean he has to be in the top 18. Prioritise Latu, Galvin, who obviously doesn’t want to be here can see out his CONTRACT in ressies. He’s not costing much and I’m sick of getting kicked in the guts and being used. Enough is enough.

I can’t see a world where Galvin is here in 2026. Club should be leveraging Galvin to improve the roster elsewhere.

If Manly want Galvin, ask for Olakau’atu
If the Roosters, ask for Wong
If the Dogs, ask for Preston
If the Eels, ask for Penisini
Why wouldn’t those teams just wait a year, keep their gun players & then get galvin for nothing in 2027? Only 1 that’s slightly realistic is Penisini
