Maybe this evolves Bula’s game a bit more.As much as many people hate Galvin we are going to miss certain parts of his game
His backing up line breaks is one area we will miss .....hope we see someone fill that void

No need to be sorry, just tell everyone one that you were cheering because of the well deserved belting that back door Benny got.I'm sorry Mario. Back in the eighties I cheered every time Mario Fenech was sent off for belting the crap out of Benny Elias. In heindsight Mario deserved a medal, well done legend.
He can stand in tackles , and has a neat draw and pass . You can get under his rib cage with his upright running style and pop the ball out , but that’s just about telling him to lower his bumpers as he comes into contact. He’s pretty quick as well . I rate him .A lot of us like him why don't you, I think he's not happy at the Knights and playing accordingly, hence wanting a move.
The tigers paid it . It was 5k I thought ? Shannon gallant said it in the podcast with the faithful guys . I’m almost certain .I remember reading an article where Lachlan's Dad said he paid Parramatta out of his own pocket to not play there and to get a release to join Tigers.
He will get an upgrade for this year and next, but that being said, I feel Lachlan is selfish about his own development/ progress, not about the money as much.
Beat it IsaacThat's playing with fire imagine we lose Bula because we won't deal with Cove.
The “Latu is better” hyperbole , isn’t an emotional reaction at all . The club itself had Latu pencilled in eventually as the 6 , and Galvin the 13 . It was simple truth . The issue now is .. is latu ready yet .Im glad that I have never really fully weighed in on this topic until now.
This week has been a rollercoaster of emotions in relation to the events surrounding Galvin. Here are my thoughts on the situation.
Initially, when I heard the news that Galvin knocked us back, I was a potent mixture of disappointed and angry. I was disappointed that we could not keep a junior with such obvious promise at this club. Im hearing a shitload of people saying words to the tune of "He ain't all that" and "Latu will be better than him". Those words come from understandable disappointment to be losing a player with his potential. This reaction never happened when we lost a player like Jock Madden for instance.
On the other hand, Im angry at the way this was handled by his management. They are well within their rights to knock our offer back. But, to not even look at the offer we put together smacks of disrespect. I could even accept that though. What I CANNOT accept is the disrespectful comments aimed towards the coach and flows down to his teammates. That is unacceptable from Galvin and the people that manipulate him to act that way.
You'll notice that I used the word "manipulate" in the previous sentence. I have heard Galvin speak twice.....one was a radio interview late last season and the other was part of being in a "Fletch and Hindy" skit tonight. What had really struck me in those two media spots is that although he is 18 or 19, his maturity levels are FAR below that. Don't confuse maturity with intelligence. In both of those media spots, he seems like an absolute kid, not a money hungry bastard.
He is an adult and should be responsible for his actions. But, I have absolutely no doubt in the world he is heavily manipulated by his manager to take the actions that he has done this week......and that is pretty irresponsible to put this guy through the absolute ringer by sports and social media this week. They absolutely had to have known his actions would have cause this reaction from the media and general public. A part of me feels sorry for the kid in that way....he does not have the maturity to comprehend the outcome from all of this....but unfortunately for him, he has bought a ticket to get into this circus, he will have to go through it.
Finally, our club has clearly grown off the paddock since Richo took over. Benji was an absolute star with the way he spoke today. I will be the first to admit that I had big question marks over him being the head coach of this club with no previous coaching experience. But, the way those players put in for him every week and the absolute humility with what he had to say today, he has basically won me over today. The Galvin thing could be the absolute making of Benji as a coach.
Our captains also spoke very well and Richo's strong tone is setting our club up for success. Yet, another strong day for our club.
He’s on contract until 2027 and Tigers have a 1 year option until 2028 under old contract with previous manager I believe. That's playing with fire imagine we lose Bula because we won't deal with Cove.
Thats a long way away . And we don’t even have to talk about upgrades as bulas contract at the time was overs big time . Now it’s fair value .He’s on contract until 2027 and Tigers have a 1 year option until 2028 under old contract with previous manager I believe.
Plenty of pros and cons. The “Latu is better” hyperbole , isn’t an emotional reaction at all . The club itself had Latu pencilled in eventually as the 6 , and Galvin the 13 . It was simple truth . The issue now is .. is latu ready yet .
Run the big boppers at Moses all day and stand on his foot in the play the ball. 🤣My biggest fear for Monday is that we try to bash Parra and end up with 3 in the bin due to the recent over the top high shot crap! My advice - just hit em hard and make every tackle a Bungy Jump!
I'm sure Richo is much smarter then that and understand in this business you must deal with people you don't have toBeat it Isaac
His fitness should improve as he gets over his injuries, though. It's the persistent injuries that bother me the most with Latu, but then again, Benji was injury plagued as a very young NRL player, too. I really hope we can get Latu's injuries and fitness sorted, and get him combining with Luai and the rest of the team asap.Plenty of pros and cons.
Latu is a stronger ball runner than Galvin, has better deception and short ball than Galvin and is a much better and stronger front on defender than Galvin, but doesn’t have the same level of fitness and therefore doesn’t get in positions to be on the ball and compete as much as what Galvin does, Galvin has developed a nice short kicking game, both of their long kicking games are ordinary at best, Galvin has a better long passing game and is a better lateral defender,
IF Latu makes good improvements with his fitness and kicking game, he will become the superior player.
Don't understand L a lot on here don't like him, what are they seeing that I'm not, I can only see upside in KPP.He can stand in tackles , and has a neat draw and pass . You can get under his rib cage with his upright running style and pop the ball out , but that’s just about telling him to lower his bumpers as he comes into contact. He’s pretty quick as well . I rate him .
Pheonix comes from a rugby league Kiwi family so good chance they greatly respect Benji and better understand what's good for Pheonix moving forward. I hope. Wonder if any relation to Pita Godinet?Thats a long way away . And we don’t even have to talk about upgrades as bulas contract at the time was overs big time . Now it’s fair value .
My worry is actually Phoenix Godinet . Everyone talks about signing edge forwards . He is an absolute weapon coming through . Go watch his highlights. My concern is he’s going to get the Galvin treatment . We will develop him , and right when he’s about to boom, or just after , Moses will get him to strengthen his 2 clubs manly and the eels .
I can see him limping off early hank, think they are desperate and rushing him back, but if he does make it through think he will be well off the pace 1st game back.Run the big boppers at Moses all day and stand on his foot in the play the ball. 🤣
Players are not naive, they will know Mitchell Moses has played a part in getting Galvin to turn his back on us.I can see him limping off early hank, think they are desperate and rushing him back, but if he does make it through think he will be well off the pace 1st game back.
Lol think he's in for special easter treatment, big Roycey might accidently stand on his foot, really hope we give them a demolition derby smash up.Players are not naive, they will know Mitchell Moses has played a part in getting Galvin to turn his back on us.
Minicello like with Tedesco..Players are not naive, they will know Mitchell Moses has played a part in getting Galvin to turn his back on us.
yep, that’s his mo, didn’t Moses do the same thing2017? Tried to get Wehbe employed to do some whispering.Last year when team Galvin basically demanded an overhaul of our assistant coaching roster is probably the key to this saga. He obviously wanted Vella or someone like Larkins to be given a gig. When it turned out to be Hogo and Rhino, this upset the apple cart.
From where I sit, if Galvin had basically said I am rejecting the offer and going to the market in November. I would like to thank the Weststigers and everyone involved in my NRL journey but in my heart I think it’s time to move on at the end of my contract. As a fan of course I would be disappointed but that’s football. Sadly to try and justify your actions by trashing the coach is a very low act and reflects Galvin in a terrible light. I think both Moses and his Parents are probably the ones at fault who have pushed Galvin down this path.
The NRL world is a fickle place, at present the pro Galvin and anti Galvin news has dominated the press, but in a week or two it will hardly rate a mention and Galvin will probably get a release
