How about this theory on Galvan saying Benji can't help him reach his potential as a half . . . . .
It's possible that this line of bullshit was conceived last year by moses as an easy way out. Let's face it, it held more truth about it during the 23/24 seasons.
Moses would have thought everyone would agree, and him and Galvan would come out smelling like roses. And again . . . this would have been plausible in 24 for sure. No real arguments against it.
But like most narcissists, he didn't have a plan B, because his plan A was devised by a supremely intelligent and wily operator . . . and therefore it never needed a back up.

Maybe, but would we really be offering someone 1 million dollars per season to play 13 when we don’t even know if he has the toughness required to play 13 ?

Why a player like him would leave a squad that’s clearly improving to go to one that is still descending towards rock bottom is puzzling.

My guess is this was all arranged and planned [hidden signed contract etc.], possibly 6 months ago, to replace Brown [before Mitchel Moses had the foot injury, player exodus, retirement and an absolutely disastrous start to 2025].
A point of no return! Hence the coach BS for an early release.
But the backlash across the Media and his team "Mates" and WT fan base has been immense!
The Galvan family and manager have miscalculated Richo's red line in the sand starting now, and Benji's dropping him to KOE.
Imagine what most of his teammates must think of him now? Do I pass him the ball, hesitation, cut him out, play the other side of ruck. Not good for the NRL Tigers. We need to play as if he didn't exist.
Galvin needs to spend time in KOE to get his head together and show other clubs and other hyped up players to show respect. Well done WT!

Like I said earlier none of it makes any sense imo purely because like any young man he loves and idolises his father and he's just doing what ever his father is telling him. One thing imo that needs to happen out of this asap is Wests Tigers need to uncouple from Isaac Moses and Cove Agency and join the other 3 clubs who won't deal with them, rub him and his company out completely.

Highly likely. So 2 things from there . . . .
1- Your theory doubles down on him specifying " Benji isn't the coach to further his develpoment as a half "
2- Everyone is telling us that Galvan lives and breathes footy, he understands the game so well for someone his age, he's a natural footy player . . . . . so then if he's scared of Latu, and he lives and breathes footy, he must know what he's talking about.
And if he sees latu as a threat, and we've got Latu . . . . we should be sweet !
In all honesty, I can't wait to see the real Jerome playing for us. You know, without the directive to favour any random player . . . maybe one named Lachlan.
And even better, can't wait to see Jarome and Latu form their combo. We reckoned our team has improved in these early rounds, just wait till our halves have direction and none of them are running around like chooks with their heads chopped off.

It makes no sense only because of the flimsy reason he's given. If you remember, he gave a totally different reason the year before and we released Large, moved Sullivan to Souths and debuted him in Rd 1, yet now it's Benji's coaching. I'm sure if we sacked Benji and put in Bellamy, he would find another reason he wants to leave.

There is a monster deal on the table somewhere or, and I am totally speculating here, he doesn't fit the islander culture at the club and he can't really say that publicly. He is also an ex-Parra fanboy and his old school coach is an assistant at Parra. It may be a childhood dream and he may feel more comfortable there.

He's a bit of an awkward kid, so he may struggle to fit into the gold chain influencer brigade. He just ain't that cool.

And that is why Parra are a different team with Mitchell Moses. Expect to see a completely different team on Monday. It will be a much harder contest than many think

He's a very good goal kicker as well as other attributes. We would have lost the game last year if he was playing and kicking goals.

Puzzling is you completely and repeatedly ignore the Latu/Luai dynamic, the Benji/Moses 1 dynamic, the Galvin/Moses 2 dynamic, the Father loving Parra dynamic, the the club does not see him as a long term half dynamic, the Gus Gould dynamic...

It's still puzzling as all get out inclusive of those reasons.

We're building, so we should be looking at young forwards like Suli Pole, Heinz Lemoto, Fainu Latu and KPP.

Which is ridiculous,, if he is on 1 million a year to play lock the team will still plat to the abilities of its players .. Galvin playing a similar role to Isaiah yeo woiild be interesting for him and the team

That’s a fair point about assimilation, and it’s great that he’s grown up playing alongside some Polynesian kids. But in this case, 13 out of 17 players are Polynesian, and so is the coach, which is quite different from the Magpies team he came from, which was closer to 50/50. His school team wasn't as lopsided either.

I’m not saying that’s the only reason for any struggles, but it’s worth considering how anyone might feel adjusting to a team where their own culture is the minority. Even when there’s mutual respect, differences in communication, language, leadership styles, or team dynamics can be difficult to adapt to and some people just prefer to stick with what they know because it makesnthem more comfortable.

I’d give him the exact same contract we offered Galvin. I think it’s fair to say Katoa right now is the better player anyways.
