OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

I recall being in New Orleans on a 'gator' tour to the swamp. The bus driver was a bubbly lady who informed us that her husband was raised by his parents to believe he is the baby jesus and that she would spend the rest of her life convincing him that he isn't.

The last part in bold is probably a very good question, they seem to be a very together group bar Galvin and maybe a few youngsters who haven't got the air time big head has gotten.
There’s been more than a whisper that TDS may have his head turned. Luai has clauses, Bula has clauses, Large already said no thanks…its important.

Benji is on a steep learning curve as we all know ….what did Graham say about him ? He wouldn’t have any first hand knowledge of his coaching ability ?

I wasn’t keen on some things last year from Benji …. Things looked to be improving this season though …

There has been a lot of conflict at the WT since Benji and Richo arrived with getting members of the playing group out the door …other teams eg dogs seem to be able to go through these conflicts with a minimum of fuss ( with one notable exception ) …I wonder what the Tigers are doing differently ?
He used to seem to rate the Benj 👇🏼

……. With a look to the future, Graham wants to help bring through the stars of the future – much like Wests Tigers legend Benji Marshall.

“Footy is all I’ve ever known as a six year-old,’’ Graham continued.

“I started playing first grade at 17, straight out of high school, so I came into a fulltime job straight away.

“So moving forward, I’d definitely like to stay involved. It’s what I’ve dedicated my whole life to. Coaching is definitely an option. I’m doing my accreditation with Benji Marshall.

“He’s already got a job, I’ll have to hit him up to try to be one of his assistants. I’d love to be able to give the game something back after it’s given me so much for so many years.’’

You are missing my point. Had he extended them the opportunity to have their say, he could have made counter arguments, concessions, came up with alternate truths….etc.
When he kicked them out of the meeting their next step was always going to be play this in the media.
He had two options, bite his tongue, bide his time and comeback with a fully informed response, or get the shits and dismiss them.
Which do you think works better?
Yeah possibly....we werent there but going by the tone of moses saying dont even bother showing us your offer...it seems like there was hardly room for compromise on either side.
Regardless i doubt moses wouldve shown his entire hand anyway even if given the opportunity.
It was them deciding at that opportunity to declare theyre outta here no matter what .
Thete would be that much BS sprinkled.in with possiy a few legit concerns richos probably better off not having to try and decipher whats true or whats not

Don't be like that Tucker please. You at least have the logic & ability to express your points without often getting emotional but there's really no reason to b negative atm...right now we're holding him to his contract & the club has the right to defend its integrity when it comes to high performance and the coach.

He went to training on Thursday (day of the presser) & after everything came out including the socials - he was bouncing around, all smiles. I don't think Richo is backing down from this fight and rightly so...

It is believed the legal concerns centre around claims that the Tigers failed to provide a safe working environment for Galvin. The standard NRL contract doesn’t allude to bullying but it is made clear that the agreement is governed by laws of NSW and the parties are subject to the jurisdiction of the court.

Galvin trained with his NRL teammates this week but will miss the club’s Easter Monday game against Parramatta and is expected to instead feature for Western Suburbs in the NSW Cup.

There has been talk that Galvin could spend the year in NSW Cup, but the standard playing contract adds that subject to fitness, playing form and mental attitude, the club must give them the opportunity to train and play to the level reasonably required of a professional rugby league player with the player’s level of skill and experience.

Lachlan Galvin’s management has served the Wests Tigers with a legal letter alleging the 19-year-old has been bullied and not provided with a safe work environment following his rejection of a $6 million extension offer.

News of Galvin’s Cove Agency management group formally raising the matter comes as the Tigers make added security arrangements for his first game since the contract saga kicked off given the threats directed at the teen star following his decision to leave the club at the end of 2026.

The legal developments will only heighten theories that Galvin has played his last game for the club, despite the Tigers’ insistence that an early release from his contract will not be considered.

Galvin has told club officials that he wants to play for feeder side Wests Magpies on Monday, though it remains to be seen if the legal escalation changes that.

Galvin has been subject to an intense media spotlight and backlash on social media, which included responses by Tigers teammates.

Galvin’s manager Adam Brame and Cove Agency director Isaac Moses did not respond to requests for comment. The Wests Tigers declined to comment on Sunday.

The RLPA has been in contact with both Galvin, his management and senior Tigers players since the saga began last week. Tigers players were warned of their use of social media after winger Sunia Turuva posted footage of Galvin’s locker to Instagram accompanied by lyrics of “here comes the money”.

Tigers coach Benji Marshall denied that Galvin had been bullied by his teammates when he fronted a press conference last Thursday alongside co-captains Jarome Luai and Api Koroisau.

“I don’t think he’s been bullied by the other players,” Marshall said.

“Emotional responses to things happening might seem like it, but there’s been no sense of bullying at our club, and we don’t stand for bullying.

“I talked about it with the team this morning, and that’s not us. We’re not bullies, our players are not bullies.

“They had an emotional reaction to one of their teammates, but it’s not bullying. I can guarantee that.”

Galvin was dropped to reserve grade this Monday by Marshall with the backing of his senior leadership group, and was named to turn out for Wests Magpies against Parramatta at Lidcombe Oval.

The Tigers NRL side will play a few hours later in front of what is likely to be a sold-out crowd at Commbank Stadium against the Eels, one of the leading contenders to land Galvin’s signature along with Canterbury.

“Our five-eighth [Dylan Brown] left, so we’re in the market for a five-eighth and Lachie Galvin is an exceptional talent,” Parramatta coach Jason Ryles said on Sunday.

“So when the time’s right we’ll be speaking to him. There certainly seems to be a connection [to the Eels] from when he was a kid and when he played here as a junior. That all comes into it but at the end of the day it’s what’s best for Lachlan and his family, hopefully we’ll be one of those clubs that, come 2027, that he considers.”

Ryles said no thought has been given to releasing Brown to take up his record deal with Newcastle early as part of a swap arrangement that could trigger a play for Galvin.

As revealed by this masthead, the Tigers front office has also received abuse directed at Galvin following the decision on his future. One message featured the words: “You never know who is watching.” Another message said: “It’s a good thing you can run fast, otherwise we’d get you.”

The Tigers were forced to shut down the comments section on their social media accounts because of the abuse being aimed at Galvin.

“Let’s chill with all the shit that’s coming his way, and just let him play footy,” Marshall said of the public backlash directed at Galvin.

“I’ve got care for Lachie, and that’s been clear forever. I’ve never not once put him in a position where he felt uncomfortable. I’m all about the mental well-being of our players.”

I wouldn't put it past Galvin to be a 'dear diary' type like Pollyanna...but the thing that concerns me a little if I'm being honest is Moses. Probably has a manila folder of private chats, DM's, screenshots etc. or worse yet, someone within the group is sympathetic to his cause and is leaking shit... Speculation is fine but I hope they handle it like gentleman and away from the media because lachie's mental health is paramount here. What a circus smh

Hmmmm... That all reads like a pause in hostilities for the moment. Until at least tomorrow. Ryles' comments are interesting though...Richo might even have some shit on cove/Parra and they're calling a temporary ceasefire who knows lmao

Yes 😂
There is no doubt that is happening with Isaac’s blessing, we cannot control that, but what we can control is being the bigger and better club with more integrity than the others, becoming successful on the field and becoming a club that players want to play at despite any outside noise.
If u bend over, you will alway bend over.
We have been ‘the bigger club’ it doesn’t help you, just more people will step on you.

Lachlan Galvin’s stoush with the Wests Tigers has dramatically escalated after it emerged his management had sent the Wests Tigers a legal letter alleging their client has been bullied and not provided with a safe work environment.
Coach Benji Marshall addressed claims of bullying at a press conference last Thursday after teammates used social media to comment on Galvin’s decision not to re-sign with the club beyond 2026.

Marshall defended the players for having an emotional reaction to losing Galvin.

“I don’t think he’s been bullied by the other players,” he said.

More to come
What a weak individual, no substance. I feel for him, it must be hard to be him.

The Galvins aren't open to it with the tigers. They made that clear with Richo. There doesn't need to necessarily be a root cause that the tigers need to address. They have said it is it's the coach, and Richo is backing Benji. So end of story.
Of course there is a root cause. They’ve wanted out before he even debuted. They still wanted out after he was given the keys to the team at 18. Luai’s arrival came after all this and he has been nothing but accomodating ever since. It ain’t the reason.
Yes they have said it’s the development opportunities. It would pay dividends to look into the claim before blindly rubbishing it.

With you..i've been reading over this thread intently. It's something that doesn't sit well when you look at the release requests. Moses knew he could have negotiated something big with another club, especially after his rookie season but they were asking for releases earlier. There must be a heads of agreement sitting in a safe somewhere haha. This has become a power thing not a money thing I get the impression
