There are two sides to every story.Otherwise the kid would have taken the money on the table straight up. For all we know he's probably really distraught watching all of this go down around him...
I’m not being negative. I am risk adverse as a manager and not going through the process could result in more departures. Everyone is saying Richo is on the front foot. To me being on the front foot would be devising proceedures to understand the problem, so it can be mitigated and hopefully eradicated in further instances should they occur.Don't be like that Tucker please. You at least have the logic & ability to express your points without often getting emotional but there's really no reason to b negative atm...right now we're holding him to his contract & the club has the right to defend its integrity when it comes to high performance and the coach.
He went to training on Thursday (day of the presser) & after everything came out including the socials - he was bouncing around, all smiles. I don't think Richo is backing down from this fight and rightly so...
Gah, Fair point. Another NRL player to add to the $#!Thead list. Why would you use Tim Mannah as an example - he lied to the NRL to protect himself and Isaac Moses during the parra debacle.
Yes that’s true.I think both sides might have lost control of where this is headed …
Galvin and Moses will probably end up getting their way sooner than later …but they are both going to be carrying some baggage out of this that is going to stick ..unlike the previous three that walked out 8 years ago…
Not at all. But I do find it pretty funny that those who were so furious last year whenever this kid was critiqued are now the loudest bashers of him.And you know more than the rest of us, do you?
So true @Vicious We’ll never know the true story. In this case, every party is a loser unfortunately and both sides arguably could have handled things a lot better. There are two sides to every story.
Even if the Galvin situation is beyond being repairable, we need to know what the real issue is, so we can try and make sure itvdiesnt happen to us again.

I do think he’ll inevitably gain sympathy in the wider community as he has left a joint that received 3 spoons in the 3 years that he was there.
The best solution I can see is that we mend bridges to enough extent that he can be used to win games of football over the next 18 months.
Currently it appears we are no chance of seeing this happen.
I think the Tigers will be up for it and play angryThis is just the beginning ain't it old friend...
Moses will be clutching his rosaries tonight for a tigers loss tomorrow.. This is a bigger game than what's been spoken about. We can go up to 5th place if we make a statement (not sure about my math), but if we lose, then well you know what happens next ...the I told you so's & pile ons and bring Galvin back smh

I did wonder if it was a cultural clash but the more I think of it, that would have been more an issue in my generation. Lachies gen have only known teams full of poly’s. He’s grown up with them.I would like him to stay here the rest of the year let alone next year as well… i agree even that seems very unlikely ..
He might recover his community image … perhaps ..but I think he is going to have some issues with the Polynesian team mates that will come and go at whatever team he ends up at, over the next 5 years at least … those Fijian and Samoan rep teams are very tight and the likes of May, JL, Api and Turuva might be telling a few home truths about him when they are on tour drinking kava
I wonder if Moses might have under estimated the blow back from the players defending Benji ?
Question for any legal eagles, if the Galvin camp serve legal action, how expensive are the legal fees for both the applicant & defendant?Lachlan Galvin’s management has served the Wests Tigers with a legal letter alleging the 19-year-old has been bullied and not provided with a safe work environment following his rejection of a $6 million extension offer.
News of Galvin’s Cove Agency management group formally raising the matter comes as the Tigers make added security arrangements for his first game since the contract saga kicked off given the threats directed at the teen star following his decision to leave the club at the end of 2026.
The legal developments will only heighten theories that Galvin has played his last game for the club, despite the Tigers’ insistence that an early release from his contract will not be considered.
Galvin has told club officials that he wants to play for feeder side Wests Magpies on Monday, though it remains to be seen if the legal escalation changes that.
Galvin has been subject to an intense media spotlight and backlash on social media, which included responses by Tigers teammates.
Galvin’s manager Adam Brame and Cove Agency director Isaac Moses did not respond to requests for comment. The Wests Tigers declined to comment on Sunday.
The RLPA has been in contact with both Galvin, his management and senior Tigers players since the saga began last week. Tigers players were warned of their use of social media after winger Sunia Turuva posted footage of Galvin’s locker to Instagram accompanied by lyrics of “here comes the money”.
Tigers coach Benji Marshall denied that Galvin had been bullied by his teammates when he fronted a press conference last Thursday alongside co-captains Jarome Luai and Api Koroisau.
“I don’t think he’s been bullied by the other players,” Marshall said.
“Emotional responses to things happening might seem like it, but there’s been no sense of bullying at our club, and we don’t stand for bullying.

“I talked about it with the team this morning, and that’s not us. We’re not bullies, our players are not bullies.
“They had an emotional reaction to one of their teammates, but it’s not bullying. I can guarantee that.”
Galvin was dropped to reserve grade this Monday by Marshall with the backing of his senior leadership group, and was named to turn out for Wests Magpies against Parramatta at Lidcombe Oval.
The Tigers NRL side will play a few hours later in front of what is likely to be a sold-out crowd at Commbank Stadium against the Eels, one of the leading contenders to land Galvin’s signature along with Canterbury.
“Our five-eighth [Dylan Brown] left, so we’re in the market for a five-eighth and Lachie Galvin is an exceptional talent,” Parramatta coach Jason Ryles said on Sunday.
“So when the time’s right we’ll be speaking to him. There certainly seems to be a connection [to the Eels] from when he was a kid and when he played here as a junior. That all comes into it but at the end of the day it’s what’s best for Lachlan and his family, hopefully we’ll be one of those clubs that, come 2027, that he considers.”
Ryles said no thought has been given to releasing Brown to take up his record deal with Newcastle early as part of a swap arrangement that could trigger a play for Galvin.
As revealed by this masthead, the Tigers front office has also received abuse directed at Galvin following the decision on his future. One message featured the words: “You never know who is watching.” Another message said: “It’s a good thing you can run fast, otherwise we’d get you.”

The Tigers were forced to shut down the comments section on their social media accounts because of the abuse being aimed at Galvin.
“Let’s chill with all the shit that’s coming his way, and just let him play footy,” Marshall said of the public backlash directed at Galvin.
“I’ve got care for Lachie, and that’s been clear forever. I’ve never not once put him in a position where he felt uncomfortable. I’m all about the mental well-being of our players.”
💯A loss tomorrow will have big ramifications.
Before this blew up I had us winning 30+.
It’ll be a lot closer now but we are still a superior lineup. Must get it done.
How about you look at it through the context of discovering why a kid who had it all handed to him without earning it, is now blaming those who gave him such unbelievable opportunity for why he is leaving?Context is pretty important here.
There's a difference between calling someone a superstar vs backing the decision to blood a young bloke with potential to be the future of the club.
Its only fair that those who backed the decision to blood/develop him are the biggest bashers of him, because he's thrown the decision in the coach and clubs face.
I am pretty sure everyone's open to the context, but of what we know so far it sounds like he's a self entitled brat receiving horrible advice from a known toxic player agent and a stage dad who couldn't make it at Parra. How about you look at it through the context of discovering why a kid who had it all handed to him without earning it, is now blaming those who gave him such unbelievable opportunity for why he is leaving?
