Look credit to Martin, but as every commentator has said, Haas is the pinacle of front rower at the moment....Haas for me, Martin is showing a few signs his kamikaze style is wearing him out.
Yeah...the more I see of KPPn the ,more Im underwhelmed/Looks like Tarzan..plays like JaneI’ve been keen on us signing KPP due to his potential based on size, skill and athleticism, but the more I watch him the more lhe seems to be a player who just wants to coast through his career without ever pushing himself hard enough to play with the high energy and aggression required to get the best out of himself.
If not KPP I’m not sure who our next edge back rower target could be, all the good ones are locked up for the next few years and as there is a noticeable shortage in this position, I can’t see rival clubs releasing anyone featuring in their NRL team early.
I do agree we ideally need someone on one of our edges with the speed, aggression and attacking threat of players such as Briton Nikora and Dylan Lucas, the Raiders appear to have found one similar in Matty Nicholson recruited from the UK.
Maybe we need to hunt for a hidden gem or two from the UK, or we might have to find an up and comer or someone waiting for an opportunity, maybe a good sized centre who plays tough who can potentially convert to become an NRL standard edge back rower ?
A player I have long suspected could potentially become a good edge back rower and I recall him being selected in the Qld Cup Team of the Week last season when playing as back rower is Aaron Schoupp currently languishing in NSW Cup at Manly.
Initially as a depth signing for 2026, he would be a good upgrade on players such as Faatape and Feledy, but well worth a look at potentially getting back to regular NRL as an edge back rower.
Agreed. He needs to do a lot for me to even be at whelmed level. If you can be whelmed. MmmmmmYeah...the more I see of KPPthe ,more Im underwhelmed
Ricky has picked up some good ones at Raiders.who have genuine resolve and wanna make a difference
Im with youHaving watched him play so far this year I’m not sure why Madge was so keen to keep him. We may have dodged a bullet.
Any player who wears black boots these days shows no confidence in themselves. Pathetic. Prefer Twal.Im with you
Hetherington is nothing special that we dont already have..and at double the price
David F has been a terrible investment for the Titans.a guy in one of the FB groups just said that Fifita was headed our way, cited "a good source".
Nah...were playing better than ok.Any player who wears black boots these days shows no confidence in themselves. Pathetic. Prefer Twal.
Jojo?a guy in one of the FB groups just said that Fifita was headed our way, cited "a good source".
May whelms me!And in a most unexpected way ..Luai whelms me.Tureva too..tho his defence is ..cough,,,a little underwhelming at timesAgreed. He needs to do a lot for me to even be at whelmed level. If you can be whelmed. Mmmmmm
I just worship WT----------------simples!Maybe a family of mixed faith. I'm a bible believing Christian with all my heart and soul. Both of my sisters married Muslim men and became Muslim, still love them to death and they still drive me up the wall.
Was that a joke?Any player who wears black boots these days shows no confidence in themselves. Pathetic. Prefer Twal.
Does that mean Brown to halfback OR Sharpe to halfback? Cogger? They need money for Fletcher Sharpe he's off contract next year
Anyone who thinks the galvin situation is over needs to have a look at his body language towards luai. Post-match is very timid in the team song and to the side. Very unusual. On the kayo broadcast, if you go to the post match galvin leaves as luai enters the room very swiftly, and is with da silva in the sheds straight away. It is quite worrying and will continue to drag on as the season unfolds. If you want evidence go to about the 2:12 hour mark on the kayo broadcast. It is also concerning that galvin is barely seen with the rest of the team in TMay's vlogs, and is only spotted with 1 or 2 guys mainly his jersey flegg mates like da silva and luke lauli'i. Part of me feels sorry for him being a young kid, but he's no doubt brought it on himself
A player of his talent for another 1.5 seasons on his current deal is damn good value. We own it and we should make the most of it. Parra and Mitch Moses' dodgy ageing feet are going to have to wait a couple of seasons I'm afraid.I sometimes wonder if we can still resolve Galvin’s concerns, persuade him to change his mind and re-sign with us if we have a successful season, but the points you have raised among others strongly indicates he has made up his mind and his heart is not in playing for our club long term.
It’s sad and I’m sure our club could have done many things better to try and convince him to stay, but at the end of the day we give him his NRL opportunity before any other club would have, we have offered him a long term deal at a million dollars per season, before he has really earned that money, so like most of our fans, I’m satisfied we done all we could to keep him long term and if he doesn’t change his mind I think it would be in our best interests to release him for 2026 providing we get a player or players of value in return.
