Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

As I said to you earlier, unless Galvin can see through walls and humans, he wouldn't have been able to see Luai. It was coincidence that he left when he did and the camera angle just amplifies the conspiracy.. watch it again .
2 young blokes heading to the sheds early
In my experience they are headed to a party
Or possibly are afraid to shower with the rest of the team

I think KPP is a talent and has all the tools. When we signed Samuela Fainu he was big and raw like KPP albeit younger than KPP.

The club just has to work out if the perceived laziness is due to the environment he's in or it's him. Outside of Kikau and Nikora a lot of backrowers are only as good as the ball they get from their halves as we saw from Papali'i once he left Moses' edge.
I agree, I am a big fan of mobile and rangy backrowers, especially because we don't currently have any. At the right price I think KPP has a huge upside and at Newcastle the entire forward pack has to do far too much defensive work.

I get it but
Dylan Lucas first choice
KPP 2nd choice, he would be forced to play better in our team, because the halves are better and will create more opportunities.
The Newcastle Knights are not going to release Dylan Lucas, he is signed with them for the next 3 years.
Thinking we can sign Dylan Lucas is just as ludicrous as thinking we can sign Nathan Cleary,

You’re talking about a club who has two of the highest paid marquee players (when Brown arrives) in the comp and they’re not going great. Not too far fetched to predict they’ll have some major roster upheaval at some point.

Agreed.

Funnily enough, Sharpe is only a little more than a year older than Galvin but looks lightyears above Galvin. Sharpe is outright dominating, even in a team who has struggled.

Yet, he gets no "generational talent" or "million dollar" price tags being throw around on him.
He carved up a really under strength Souths team with his running game. He’s probably an under-sized fullback in reality. It’s what Galvin does for his outside men that make him a better halves prospect.

Well we know Kobe was on the radar, Madge wouldnt release him 2025 but so far as i know, hes still available 2026 and beyond.

On all accounts, he was anxious to join up, maybe he still is?

The players we did sign, theyve gone Ok or better, so the brains trust has had some merit.

But the Fainus deserve an extra sip or two to stay.

Having watched him play so far this year I’m not sure why Madge was so keen to keep him. We may have dodged a bullet.
