OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

Stepping stone...foot in the NRL door....i remeember my sons team mates older brother was a trophy hunter, 3 clubs in 5 years...junior rep player, he left Holy X to join nth ryde i think.one year and his old club and mates won the comp the year he left.
Galvin will never have the.satisfaction of working hard and earning something worthwile...doesnt seem to be in his make up.
Thats on those meant to be advising him.
Im sure his agent only sees him as a meal ticket
If he wins a GF (and before us especially), he will say all the hard work and tuff times were worth it. I hope he goes to parra and they win nothing for the next 30 years and he becomes a Hindmarsh.

Yeah, Isuk Measles is also a leech.

Man I disagree . I was saying this stuff last year . With @Tucker . And we can’t stand each other ! But we agree on this . He is not that good !
I didnt saynhe was "that good"...however good that is.
Im saying i think hed be better if he was haveing a red hot crack at things here and not thinking about where he will be next....because im 100 % certain a kid of his age doesnt have the maturity to put that aside and focus on the now...its whats next for him.
I think goulds assessment of him is way ott and is purely a selfish view from goulds point...just stroking the kids ego because thats how galvin operates....he loves the fake, believes its sincere but cannot tell the difference because hes been lauded since god knows how old

The reason WT don't have a good system though, is because of the lack of job security at the club over the years. A new coach comes in, and he starts all over again. Poor recruiting over the years led to a decent proportion of the top 30/dev were SG Ball players.

A good system is the Roosters. Their young halves unit is Sam Walker (22), Hugo Savala (23), Sandon Smith (22), Jake Elliott (20), and Toby Rodwell (19). Smith got his opportunity with Walker's ACL injury. Savala got his with Townsend's poor form.

Smith, Savala, Elliott, and Rodwell progressed or still are progressing very well in the lower grades. Rodwell steered their u19s to the SG Ball title with Boyd Cordner as coach. It's a system with outstanding junior recruiting, and player and coach development. Largely because they have built it up with a head coach who has been there for over a decade and invests in it.

Galvin, TDS, Mason, Luke and Kit Laulilii, Latu Fainu, Miller, Feledy, Matamua, etc. All these kids were exposed to NRL way to soon, because the club recruited poorly. Some of them have played more NRL in their young careers than reserve grade, flegg, or Sg Ball. That just shouldn't happen.
This is my point and is why I can understand the kid wanting out.
Calling his father obsessive, calling him an entitled brat, calling his manager scum...its all just hot air from overly emotional fans who've never met any of them.
The guy wasnt happy in our system. Ill wager he is not on his Pat Malone.

How did he derail us?
How didn’t he you mean.

He’s been pumped up as the main guy ever since he debuted with us. For whatever reason, after coming off a win in Newy ans the lead up to one of our biggest fixtures of the year vs Parra he makes his feelings known that he doesn’t see himself progressing at this club.

It’s just crazy to me that a 19 year old kid can’t shut up and enjoy what 99% of kids would dream to do . The Penrith boys we recruited who are big on brotherhood, called him out on his bullshit rightly so.

Well it certainly isn’t Luai, Api, Turuva and May who have won comps. I’ll trust their instincts 👍

Thats the clubs doing, not his.

He rejected a contract offer, hardly the crime of the centrury and something that happens regularly every year in the other 16 clubs. We just dont hear about most of it.

When you state he cant shut up, what are you referring to?
The Penrith boys we recruited who are big on brotherhood, called him out on his bullshit rightly so.
They should be more worried about their own games then ganging up and throwing shade on an inexperienced kid.

Has May won a comp? Anyway that doesnt matter, the others have their money, which they incidently earned by leaving the club that they saw success through, to chase the dollar with us. Being hypocritical doesnt prove any point.
By the way, Im referring to the likes of TDS, the Fainus and Bula etc....

I’m stating he should have refused to answer any questions related to his contract situation. His inexperience in the media has cost him a fair bit, not his fault as he is only young but I think whoever was advising him should have drawn a line in the sand with him. Media ban, let the season play out, then let the negotiations start when obliged to

It’s shit like this that has got many people offside. Just shut up and play footy ffs

Im sorry, Im not following. What questions from the media? Has he done an interview somewhere?

My bad, he hasn’t. But the others have.

The point is, I want my leaders to stick up for the club I support.

The others haven’t committed but that remains to be seen. Pole has committed and he had plenty of other offers from clubs

re read my post, I put an edit in
Yes, well that was about a different topic. He was reassuring fans he will fullfil his current contract.
I have said all along that this is his stance.
The club is making the decision to let him go based upon allegations his side have made triggered by the way the club has handled his contract rejection.

I want the leaders to play good football and STFU. Theyve had plenty to say...far more than the kid has.

Apparently he’s off to the dogs . Handshake agreement in place . Don’t know if it’s click bait , but it’s everywhere now .
Turns out what everyone thought happened when he announced it was what actually happened .
Sometimes the simplest answer is the correct one

And … how’s that going?

Mate when you’ve got a bloke like Isaac Moses ruling the roost who’se been banned twice by the NRL and clubs who flat out refuse to deal with him, it’s not impossible to believe he’s been poorly advised and left Galvin in a shit heap.

That’s wild lol, it had every making of a Parra reunion

The club are releasing him.
His team sent them a letter basically advising dont let the workplace become toxic.
From the outside looking in, they have failed to do that.
