Why dont we ask for that Canterbury junior half Mathew Woods as a swap?

Of anyone at the Bulldogs, we need to ask "will they fit".

Imagine being pulled from a GF team, being thrown into a top 12 team and told your the next halfback...
Also how will Latu deal with this? two Trainee halves...

Bulldogs don’t need to punt anyone.
They have cap space - next Roosters style.

Since when is keeping him their decision? He’s contracted to us. It’s not like we had the choice to keep Harry from going back to the Storm.

There is no timeline on Souths. We have shown our hand by trying to move him on. If another club were to try to sign him it might force Souths into a decision but unless/until that happens there is no pressure on Souths.

I don’t think Burton would be quick enough as fullback? The best ones have speed to burn. Latrell maybe not but he has explosiveness and X factor. Burton is a really good player but he doesn’t have that. Centre, five eighth or lock at a pinch I reckon.

Yep, but Old Father Time, API, showed that Latrell has no lateral ability in defence.

Richardson and Marshall are aware of the situation. The club has an opportunity to build upon the great signings it made last year. We need players who will add value and this means WTs should be selective in who we recruit, like the Storm.

Cheers , I would think that signing him would be a good move to keep his brother happy , and it’s a player and a position we need to improve in , but there pulling the strings , I hope we don’t regret not signings him ,
1) he signs for another club and kills it
2) his brother doesn’t get the shits and drops off or asks for a release

I'd like to sign him too so we'll see what Richardson and Marshall come up with.

Value... Taylan has it in spades, however his "commitment" that may be what's in question.
Surely Taylan sees he has the opportunity to play NRL again and most importantly play along side his brother. As I see it WT holds all the aces, bring him back through grade on a favourable sum and see what he produces, at the least give him a go.

There is a good footballer there, let the kid decide, sink or swim, his choice.
