CEO - Shane Richardson

Apparently. I remember it well because it happened days after I posted here that because we were struggling with recruitment we should go down the path of identifying coaching talent within our playing group and promote a clear succession plan. Hire from within.
I was as shocked as anyone when Benji was parachuted into the role without any training, formal or otherwise.
He has had a great playing career under many of the top coaches. He and Bennett talk to each other most weeks. He is a good "man manager" and our team like him. What more do you want him to do?

That was a dealbreaker...almost but not quite
Benji had to be given an opportunity with the new talent in 25,but unortunately the experienced talent walked out the door at a faster rate!!
Benji ,with a 5/5 record ytd ,definitely deserves to see how this season evolves
Then Richo is better placed to make results based decisions about our future
..results are what its all really about..
Rite now Richos hands are a little tied knowing that he has a reduced pool of players who wanna actually come here other than for $$
If we finish bottom 4, questions need to be asked. The fly in the ointment is his relationship with the senior players. They love him. But if the hard decision needs to be made, the club can’t fear a revolt.

A great playing career means nothing. Coaching is a very different job.
So he’s being trained by a competitor coach? OK, that may help to some extent bounce off some ideas, but it depends on the specifics.
A good “man manager”? I have no idea what that means.
There’s no harm in the team liking him, but it’s more essential for the players to respect him and have his back.
He had the team off to a great start, they were working hard for each other, but then he tried the old “divide and conquer “ boys against the oldies. Is that what man management is?
I think his share price took a hit with that.
I hope he can stop trying to be too clever and develop some game plans that help the team finish on strongly.

We used to have Teflon Tim,
Wonder what Richos moniker will be...

A reasonable request no doubt.

But when your 5/8th is a sideways-running enigma, it makes it hard. But that's on Benji too.

Hopefully there's a new approach post-Galvin, and it starts with playing straighter.

This is Benjis' 3rd year Coaching the attack of this side...
Been no structure the Entire tenure.

Release Em Richo ….as of this moment .,,,, however i am really hoping 🙏 it soon changes to Right on Richo when he announces a gun prop, a champion second rower and a star outside back later this week and also reunites the 3 may brothers at Wests tigers as a resurgent Wests tigers explode back into top 4 contention in season 25… LFG Richo …🤠

TDs might follow because we have a hooker who could easily be playing state of origin

GAlvin was never staying

Some ppl are hard to please man
You're right. If they all leave, they were probably never staying anyway. Great mentality.

Galvin is one thing, but for a development club to lose Ashton Large, Onitini Large, and Galvin in the same year is not good no matter how you try to justify it.

If the likes of TDS and Makasini leave over the next couple of years, it's a further indictment despite what you tell yourself.

So why have we not signed May Jnr , yes there is risk but , no risk no reward .
Where are the 3 players he said he HAD signed and would come out in 2 to 3 weeks , it’s a bad look , Galvin shit is done , origin is done , we have had no good news reading for about 5 weeks now , Richo needs to bring it now and it better be good and not 3 upgrades or 3 full time reserve graders , I hope he is not starting to develop a shakey look , blurting stuff out that is not true , if it was me and I had signed players I would have announced them one after the other to deaden the Galvin noise down and show players are coming hear whitest some are leaving

Honest question here … Did he actually say he had the three players “signed” ? I should relook at the interview , but I hate listening to Graham’s shyte accent

How did QLD’s structure look last night.
The old saying
Backs score your Tries
Forwards win you games

Until our forwards can punch through opposition defence we are going no where.
