Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

He's carried a lot of strapping on his knee in training pics this season so maybe he is carrying something which impacts how much load he can do in fitness??? If not, he should be sent back to NSW Cup for a month to play bigger minutes and work on that fitness.
Hopefully named in NSW Cup tomorrow to work on getting back in line to defend.
I love how he runs the ball, but the amount of times he was missing from our defensive line on Saturday night was just not good enough and made it very difficult on his team mates.

Do we need an "experienced" prop to join our pack?

Kinda like when we brought Tamou in, even though he didn't exactly go to plan.

Kinda like the unc of the pack to bring a standard, much like Romey does.

We've got;
Terrell May - a great athlete, always involved, doesn't appear to do much talking on the field.
Fonua Pole - good foot work, good runner, looks like he has some flashiness to his game.
Alex Twal - workhorse prop, gets through all his work and is reliable. Currently playing at lock.
Royce Hunt - impact prop, good for a few big runs off the back fence. Really lacks the fitness and is only good for 10-15 minutes of impact.
Sione Fainu - very underrated, comes on and looks very dangerous. Good replacement for when Pole comes off, great footwork and second phase play.

Who is the leader of the pack?
To me it looks to be lacking a real communicator and leader type.

It seems every club has ther pack leader, whether that's your Joe Tapines, fisher Harris, Carrigan, etc.
Honestly, I think we get wrapped up a bit in the name and not the objective performance of players week in week out.

We need consistency and at this stage, I think we have enough periphery players to spend big to buy that.

May, Sione and Pole are reasonably consistent. Hunt less so.

Klemmer was consistent, but consistently shit. Made no impact and was on big bucks. The economics didn't stack up. On 400k fine, but he was on double that.

When you look at what's available for us at full strength, a depth signing might be fine at prop (imagine picking up another Sione style player). Or you go big for a Haas, AFB signing, but honestly, they are the only props that move the dial in the current talent pool.

We probably need to add threat on the edge. Everyone knows we are going to play out back of Seyfarth or Sukkar 9 times out of 10.

My answer to this would be to chase line breakers. We only have one genuine line breaker and that's To'a. Our halves really don't make any breaks so we need to add that.

KPP, yeah sure, but if we're honest, is he going to move the dial like Hudson Young does for Canberra or Olakuatu does for Manly?

The Warriors have a few monsters there that we could use. We need to buy the result, not the name.
