Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

From all reports he’s about as standup of a bloke as it gets . Apparently his siblings are really good kids as well .
Whatever he decides to do , only the absolute lunatic fans will begrudge him. He’s done everything he can for that club.
Surely he'll be looking to go somewhere with a genuine shot at titles. Player of his quality & effort missing premiership winner from his resume. He'll get paid wherever he ends up.

I'm all for Doueihi dropping down in the pecking order, but who else can kick? We can't rely on Api as the alternate. We are already exhausting him with 80 minutes rather than spelling him. We need to recruit / find within our ranks a good player as well as a great kicker. Also wouldn't it be handy to have a back rower that could also take on the hooker role to give Api a break? Remember Ray Brown in the Wests Magpie's in the late 70's before Manly pinched him?
His replacement (Makasini) is a kicker...just needs another 18months.

Not if Politis can help it. Him and Gould. The power brokers. The NRL rule makers. TTT a few posts above this makes total sense. Before that we still have Moses in our system - our DNA. I hope Bula will not be collateral damage. And never ever again deal with this entity.

I’m guessing the Peter Taateo signing (from the Raiders) will also be announced this week.

Development contract this year and a Top 30 deal next year. I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets an NRL game this year off the bench — maybe even in the next few weeks.

I was impressed with him yesterday in KOE. Made an impact in both attack and defence, and showed nice footwork before the line.
Wouldn’t surprise me if Mason is upgraded to top 30 tomorrow + year extension announced. Thus opening up a development contract for Taateo immediately.
