I think we could possibly have something here. I know it’s only KOE but his production is pretty good for the minutes he plays and looks like a very solid defender (Just under 95% tackle efficiency). Runs hard, has solid footwork, is always looking to offload.

Would much rather give him a go then Porter.

I think the big thing is he can cover 9 , even though I think he’s matured out of being a full time 9 . If he tackles hard and works hard in the middle , we don’t need a star . We need a guy to hold down the middle , control the ruck , find his front when he runs the ball and get a quick play the ball.
I think we went with a light bench because we have Skelton back and will be much better out of yardage those first 2-3 tackles , so we won’t need the forwards to be running against set defences . So if he can find space in behind the ruck and his front consistently then we should be ok .

Looked rushed by the speed of the game. Had a few okay runs. Didn't miss any tackles but also lacked some speed at marker in defence.

did his job for me, wasn’t expecting anything out of this world just did the work needed . That one penalty hurt a bit .

Yeah, though the penalty hurt a lot more than a bit for mine. It almost certainly cost the boys taking a lead into half-time plus the confidence that comes with it, and the match ended with us those same 4 points behind.
