I wonder if they are starting to remove our juniors from the spotlight after the Galvin saga. Put them on the centre stage too early and other teams just poach themIt’s a head scratcher … for sure

i thought this too , or maybe taking the slower approachI wonder if they are starting to remove our juniors from the spotlight after the Galvin saga. Put them on the centre stage too early and other teams just poach them
He is a bit like a smaller version of Seyfarth, but I have seen highlights of him displaying a much more crisp passing game when given that role.He did what was asked.
Wasn’t flash or a standout.
Basically a Seyfarth clone.
twally and pole will be back next gameThese aren't the types of debuts we should be making. He's a clear level below NRL and to concede such a crucial and impactful penalty at that point is just about the worst thing he could've done in his short time on the field.
Came on at an unusual time just before the break and only impacted the game either neutrally or negatively.
I wouldn't say disappointing, because, with respect to Charlie, he never should've been making his debut.
A poor selection and one I hope we don't see repeated too often. This side is getting too close to finding their feet to be experimenting with low-ceiling players now.
I'd rather have seen Kit get his minutes.

probably thought it was the safer option , was wrong lolI don’t understand why Benji brought him on with 3mins to go in the half. Surely Bird could’ve lasted the 3mins.
Are you saying that he's a complete goose?Always exciting when a player debuts. His dad gave great advice, "run straight and run hard."
Watching his highlights, he reminds me of Jack Bird.
Desperately needed. A bench of Sione Fainu, Seyfarth, Mason, Bird/Hunt is strong.twally and pole will be back next game
i was talking abt the ruck penalty he gave away with a minute left to go in first half were they then scored and went to HT leading. Why was it wrong, "lol?"
He had a great game for a debut. His work rate and holding down his space couldn't be faulted. Seems to have good footy IQ which is probably due to his time with the Storm. He slowed the ruck on several occasions very well. Yes, he doesn't have the best PCM, but that's not what you're going to get out of him from all the reports this week. It's actually a part of the game WT have been bad at for several years, but this bloke is being "lolled' for it!
You bring on Kit, you get the run, but you don't get the defensive work which was probably required at that time with May & Koroisau not being subbed off yet, and Latu the other middle on the field. He actually found his front on his very first carry for a qptb which Api tried to play off. It's not all about PCM, but what effect it has on the next play.
If anything, the coaching team need to sort interchanges by giving both Api and May 15-20 minute breathers. Then Kit plays. The crowding penalty was on Api being slow at A-defender, and Papali'i finding his front because of that. Don't blame the kid on debut.
ah okay my badApi was there too. That was on Api being slow as A defender. May was at B and shot out fast. Api had to be there but was too slow. Paps found his front because of that.
It's that sort of stuff Robson is the NSW hooker, and not Api.
I think Charlie's value is as a high minute (20-25 min stints) player in the lock link role not as a prop. Latu played that role for us last night with Charlie on to bring energy, effort & leg speed (like a Josh Curran middle). Why was it wrong, "lol?"

Not convinced that a small pack will beat a good big pack yet, if the Storm were to meet the dogs in the grand final Melbourne would be my pick.I think Charlie's value is as a high minute (20-25 min stints) player in the lock link role not as a prop. If Benji continues to go down this road of a smaller more mobile pack like the Bulldogs then Murray possibly has a future with us but will need to work on his NRL-ready fitness to play longer minutes. The benefit of Charlie too is he gives Benji another dummyhalf option moving forward.
