Latu Fainu #282

Interesting comments from Braith this morning is that Galvin knew once Latu was fit he would be the 5/8 at the tigers and wanted out.
I have always thought Latu was miles ahead of Galvin.
Throw in Taylin May, Makasini and KPP young Latu will certainly provide the space for these guys to run riot.
Where did he say that ?

No disrespect mate , I’ve been saying this was the issue on here for 2 years.
It goes back to juniors when Latu was always ahead of Galvin .
All this Benji talk was bullshit . They struck whilst the iron was hot X because once Latu found form and minutes it would have been Lachlan who?
I think the dogs will regret this signing in a few years . Once the hype wears off and people stop circle jerking the kid for simply touching the ball

Get him a kicking coach and an educated halves coach and this guy will take us to the top. As soon as he improves his kicking game we will be a genuine force with KPP coming. I would also move Sam to the right so he can partner his brother and put KPP with Laui and Taylan on the left. I said last week Sione will end up better than Pole and I'll stand by that. Don't get me wrong, I rate Pole, but Sione can be anything. The 3 brothers can change this club.

Benji has to get our balance right and our selections right and we will fire with Latu straightening our attack.

It'd a huge advantage to have a half that straightens the attack like Latu does but is so strong and such a running threat to. That will condense the opposition defence so much and open our edges. It's no coincidence that every time Latu has taken the field our attack immediately looks better.

Give him the 6 Benji and watch him grow.
Question mate any chance in the future Skelton could end up in the backrow ?

I agree 100% with the level Latu is ahead of slimebag Galvin. It’s all about the hamstrings with Latu, if he can get past them he will be a top player that’s the question! I hope so, but am not confident. It’s a [This word has been automatically removed] to leave behind. Ruins many a great career.

I’ve always thought that and have been pretty cranky that the club and the vast majority of fans couldn’t see it.
I think it’s BS coming from Braith though. That guy is playing an angle.

I’m skeptical. How was Latu ever going to be given the opportunity? It was always one or the other with those two. We were never keeping both.

Right on both counts. The forum groupthink meant any criticism of Galvin needed a disclaimer that you didn't hate the kid haha

Latu is an gun. If he's fit he can save benjis bacon for a while. Unfortunately I have no hope that we can achieve anything without him in the field week in week out.
