Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Taylor said to the Fox, he'd only ever be a reserve grader. That's why he looked elsewhere. This came directly from the Fox's brother
That's BS. Not sure why this crap keeps coming out.
Jac was a talented teenager, Taylor wanted him to demonstrate both his attack and defence against men before getting a shot in first grade, which he did a few weeks later....
Nearly all players we've signed have been on 2 year deals, why did we only give him a one year deal in the first place, that's the big question

This is a grey area for the forum to understand but if the club didn't have a backup cover plan for this scenario well that would be disappointing,

Can't suggest any players myself but there would be some smokeys getting a run at training you would hope, or they are looking at an external.

Edit some handy suggestions above if they can lift to 1st grade standard.
Whether Dasilva should be let go iv no idea I see the pros and cons from both sides, just hoping we're leaving ourselves short at 9. It's such a crucial role.

Dolphins are making a big play for Cobbo, which would explain their urgency to get Tupou's 550k off the books only 6 months into the deal.

Would poke around some of their forwards. Knowles, Plath, Gilbert, Flegler (maybe) still need to come back into this squad. With Lemuelu, Molo, Saifiti, Stone, Keeley, Nicholls, Finefuiaki, Stone and Su'a surely one or two may become available.

The club should be doing everything to keep TDS. However if he leaves, Sandon Smith would be a good pick up to play 14. Covers hooker and dummy half. Although I doubt he would be open to coming here to play 14 when he will probably get offers from other clubs as a starting half or 9.

I would take Smith if we could get him. Covers a few positions and would be a perfect 14

There would have to be a chance of them allowing Jake Averillo to depart early if they land Selwyn Cobbo.
Averillo would add plenty of speed to our line up and I’m sure I recall he’s a decent goal kicker.
I’d much prefer Cobbo if we had a coach who could get the best out of him, I’m far from convinced Benji has it in him to motivate someone such as Cobbo.

I like it but taking the person Cobbo replaces at the Dolphins instead of having a red hot crack at Cobbo himself is very Tigers.

Don’t forget the Sharks let him go because they didn’t think his defence was up to NRL standard.
So called experts where proven wrong by bellyache again.
