Tigers v Sea Eagles

It’s not just the high ball - who would be the best at organising our defensive line? I have been impressed with what Luke brings athletically but at 19, is that a bit much to ask of him? Does he naturally have a voice?

Personally I hope it's Luke Laulilii. He has carved up at fullback the past couple of times he has played there this month. He's a confident kid at 19yo and is a player that can back up through the middle very well. If he performs like I know he can, it will be no direct road back to fullback for Bula.
Whilst recognising he's not ready, neither is Mason and Turuva is a winger, not a Fullback, despite him playing a bit of it coming through. He can't pass or kick.

Luke has been braining it in Cup at FB of late. He deserves a shot at first drop in my opinion.

His skillset (which I know you know) is far more than people have seen on the wing in firsts. He's arguably more dynamic and on the ball than Bula.

Laulilii runs the ball hard but I would play him on a wing until he gets more confidence under the high ball.

Bula's replacement will be a big test for Benji.

IMO He has made mistakes by throwing guys in too early.

We need to start winning games and Staines or Turuva are safe bets. If he throws Laulilli or Mason in there and they struggle it's bad for them, the team and Benji.

I would go with Staines given we won't have to move anyone else.
I'm tired of safe options.

Time to start leaning into some of our strengths. We're building regardless, might as well take a few risks along the way.

Besides, Luke runs rings around Charlie at FB in my opinion, possibly in literally every facet of the position, sans under the high ball, which is still a obvious concern for Laulili'i.

Looks like it's Heath Mason at fullback and either Alex Seyfarth or Jack Bird in the backrow.

NSW Cup team has been named (see NSW Cup thread) with Laulilii, Staines, Naden & Sukkar named there.

FYI Taylan May in NSW Cup as is Royce Hunt.

EDIT: Unless it's Alex Lobb, not named in NSW Cup, surely not!
