I think he’s miles of base.
Miles.
This has nothing to do with football, mentorship, wanting it all now etc.
Tallyn has proven and stated time and again that he doesn’t think this way…at least not until very recently.
Something else has happened.

Re; edit - I haven't seen anyone overlook anything. The assumption once someone has served their sentence is that they have paid their penance to society.

Though I'm sure there's plenty of pearl clutchers floating around that would take issue. They're irrelevant.

Yeah, something going on for sure.

To me, it feels like, he was promised something and it hasn't been delivered.

He and Api are both contracted until the end of 2026. Maybe he thought he'd put the work in to take over after that and now all this Api extension talks has come to light.

In an ideal world we can keep both.
I really want that to happen.

I'd be happy to give Api + 1 year then a job after footy with him being aware that we're building TDS to be the #1 hooker

It's disheartening for sure that we'll be losing another serious talent, one that I thought had a serious future at our club.

sheensy made a lot of empty promises to the HM kids . didn’t stay long enough to fulfill them , tds is probably one of them

Exactly.

I maintain that we've completely cocked up the sell to Tallyn.
 
Anyway, moving on from TDS.

We need to be active in the player market.
I know they like the waiting game.
So did Pascoe.

We need;
- figure out who of our off contract lads we may be wanting to keep
- who we're extending [Starford, Api, etx]
- improve our depth +
- bring in further players to benefit our squad

I'm hoping Taylan May comes out strong this weekend as I've got high hopes for him, filling our starting centre role.

KPP in is also an upgrade.

But it can't stop there.

100% agree and have been saying so for a while now.
This could have been managed to work.
For Tallyn to take such a hardline stance, I.e. it’s him or me, gives me a bad feeling that there’s a freight train coming straight at this club and it might cost us more names yet.

Two gone already and one appears likely the same way.

I dunno maybe . Maybe api said he was going to move on at the end of this contract , and now he doesn’t want to .
I still think the rapid rise of Hayward is a variable . Even if it’s to offer an alternate path should TDS want to go .
His management arnt stupid though . Another year , and now TDS is starting 9 in KOE , and in and out of first grade either starting or off the bench . By that point Hayward would be well and rely entrenched in the KOE team , and heaping pressure on TDS / turning heads .
The kid is rising and rising fast. .His arrivsl
In Jersey flegg along with the sacking of thier coaching staff , has led to a rapid form reversal in that team , and he’s front and centre in everything that’s good about them at the moment .

But, TDS should've been made to feel important too. You know how fragile some egos are. It probably could've been handled better.

TDS is a must keep imo
