Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

And Seibold is the coach most under pressure . I just can't defend benji after that performance and that's after 5 losses. I don't think Richo can continue to do he's job to turn this club around with benji producing that kind of rubbish. It looked like park footy and the only thing stopping another 60 plus against was the opposition. I don't want to think abt what's going to happen next week against the chooks then warrior's in NZ. . I don't know what the answer is if there is one. We are in a lot of trouble.

After the performance of the team in the Manly game + Koroisau Cat 1 concussion, Da Silva won't be leaving before the end of the season. Richo won't allow it.
If he goes next week someone from the forum will need to run our just to fill the numbers. We've got noone. Our depth is absolute garbage.

That's me done. Will see if they get me back next year. Its getting easier and easier to not come back each season. This year I came back because of the excitement I had for jerome and to be honest Galvin. Tigers will always help me feel close to my late Dad but im done giving them my time, money and emotional energy. In all the years we have been awful other clubs have had highs, lows, rebuilds more lows and are further along in their rebuild then we are.

Anyone expecting big things this year (like a deep run into the semis) have been unrealistic in their expectations

2025 was always a rebuilding season..

The 5 losses in a row whilst not great doesn't factor in the adversity we had to deal with during this run.. I asked copilot to help me explain this, because no one seems to want to listen

“Numbers are incredibly useful, but they only tell part of the story. They’re like a snapshot frozen in time—accurate in what they show, but silent about the world around them. Context, like external events, human behavior, or even timing, adds dimension and nuance that pure data can’t capture.

For example, if a rugby team’s win-loss ratio looks average on paper, the numbers won’t show that their key playmaker was out injured or that they played three top-tier teams in a row. Ignoring those factors would lead to the wrong conclusion.

So while numbers are a great starting point, it’s context that turns them into meaningful insight.”
Can’t agree with that man..
there were decisions made in 2022 - and a process in place to get us to this year, to hand over to Benji a successful team for a decent year.
They blew it up in 2022, 23 and 24 were the building years!!

This is it, this is where we supposed to be doing something - maybe this is as good as it gets?
Every year - mid season we’re talking next season…
I’d almost bet we’re on it again next year.

I’d say we’ve locked up the spoon for another year. If Benji is coaching next year we’ll be bottom 4 and possibly spooners again. He should be moved now and we maybe have to have a stopgap coach for the rest of the season. Not sure who we can get next year but we should induce the best coach we can get to breach their contract with an offer they can’t refuse as Cleary did to us. Nice guys finish last.
