It’s nothing personal, it’s just that his grand plan hasn’t worked.

It’s probably time HBG admitted they can’t do football. They can’t identity and recruit the right people to take us forward.

Cut their ties, give the club back to the members and let us elect smart people to take up the challenge.

We can’t be worse than the corporate bogans in charge now.

He just needs to be honest. Supporters are not dumb fks. They can see what is happening on the field. Just own it and do something about it at train ing.

It was the kids who had control of the team tonight and the kids who were horrible . Luke , Mason , TDS, Samuela got impatient and frustrated and started looking for shots when making the tackle was what’s required … you can’t get up there and stick the boot in … they haven’t achieved enough yet to have a foundation of “I’m a gun … this is just constructive criticism”
They’re guaranteed to interpret it as “I’m not good enough for this level “
It just shows why the club was after another half , and looking for spine depth . The kids clearly have talent , and they have a coach who wants to give them time to develop … I’m just not sure if the team keeps losing that the board and exco will have the patience with Benji .
I know why the attack is shit .. and I’m sure Benji does as well .
They spent the whole offseason playing Lachie as the sweeping link man , Bula hard right and luai hard left .
And unconventional style because 1 player was best suited in that role .
Now he’s pissed off ,
Every single member of the spine , has now had to adapt and change the way the team has trained and the combinations built .
So Bula is now doing the sweeping , luai is playing closer to the ruck , and Fainu is slowly being integrated z
So it looks clunky . Because it is … just like it was for the first 5 rounds … then they figured it out then .. then pencil neck became a dog , and it’s like the whole team had to go back to week 1 only with zero pre-season . It’s caused so much damage.

Pretty much.

He’s done some bad press conferences, but this was one for a coaching academy lecture on what not to say.

The students can sit for exams on it.

I handled the actual loss better than the lies, obfuscation, spin and bullshit he carried on with.

As I said, it was embarrassing to listen to. He must be so stupid to think anyone over 12 would cop any of it.

Are you seriously suggesting that Benji be given more time. He has no coaching clue. Time to cut umblical cord. 2 spoons and possibly 3 in his time here is not acceptable, irrespective of being a Tiger legend.

Probably has the slowest play the ball in the comp and won’t play origin until he recognises he needs to play the game at speed.

Theyre not 100% interested...Ashfield has never given a shit about the football side of things...and they never will

Yeah I think it’s a bit rich that he judges us within the call. Warren Smith does it too. I don’t notice other teams coping a hammering from the Commentators as well as the opposition as much as us.

Telling though isn’t it when our recently recruited star five eight admits in our press conferences that he hasn’t spent much time at all in combination with another of his halves. I’m pretty certain Latu wasn’t injured in the preseason maybe Luai was for a bit but wtf are they doing each week.
Other teams mention ‘they train for it’ when the team has to go through a reshuffle in game, or when first choice players are out. Do we?

I don’t like it when certain commentators look down their noses at us *cough* Cronk *cough*. But you can’t say we don’t bring it on ourselves. We lurch from one drama to another and are perennial cellar dwellers. Those things don’t make you command much respect. If we became successful, a lot of the media’s perception would change, cos they would have nothing to report anymore. How many clubs in the headlines are ever top of the table?
