Tallyn Da Silva #270

What possible benefit do they have by releasing TDS before June 30 other than lower costs?
100%. All we do is weaken our depth. It’s like the club is saying do what we say and if we don’t like it we will move you on straight away. Should have been acknowledged that come 1 November he’ll be looking elsewhere if we re-sign Api but for the rest of 2025 we have games to win (same should have happened with Galvin).
Richo looks like he is letting his ego get in the way.

I hate to put too much pressure on young players. I recall when Da Silva debuted there were comparisons being made to a teenaged Robbie Farah.

Well I’ve recently copped the tip from a very keen judge that Jared Haywood could well be the next Grant Fyvie.

Exciting times ahead at the back of the ruck for
Wests Tigers fans 👍
I haven’t heard that name in years. My uncle played lower grades with him. I’m pretty sure Uncle played lower grades (not footy) with his sister or cuz or something for a while.
They used to have an electrician company. Fyvie Electrical.
Same bloke isn’t it?

My concern is that people are talking about him. That’s a red flag. The ones who get talked about for a year or two before they debut are usually wet lettuce.
If you haven't watched the young fellow play, then please do so. He is a fine player and this was a article written about him. Also, read the comments about the Flegg Cup from members on the forum and he is regularly mentioned in very favourable terms. He has been re-signed by the club until end of 28 which suggests the club has a high opinion of his ability and a contingency in place for Da Silva. Note he is a very different player to Da Silva and is equally comfortable in the halves which makes him a valuable utility from the interchange.
