Tallyn Da Silva #270

If you haven't watched the young fellow play, then please do so. He is a fine player and this was a article written about him. Also, read the comments about the Flegg Cup from members on the forum and he is regularly mentioned in very favourable terms. He has been re-signed by the club until end of 28 which suggests the club has a high opinion of his ability and a contingency in place for Da Silva. Note he is a very different player to Da Silva and is equally comfortable in the halves which makes him a valuable utility from the interchange.

Sorry to be blunt, but I couldn’t care less about his highlights. Means nothing at that age until they hit first grade. It’s all speculation until then.

My credentials are that I have been a forum regular for nearly 15 years. I could write a list as long as your arm of players who got built up before they debuted who amounted to very little. You learn to take the hype with a grain of salt.
Again, I encourage you to go and watch the young lad play. He is not the reason why Da Silva is departing. I always liked Da Silva and I am disappointed he did not want to compete with Koroisau for the dummy half role. The reason is that competition will make our side stronger.

With respect, we have very knowledgeable staff at WTs involved in the recruitment and retention of young players. What exactly are your credentials?
I’m not indulging that childish argument. I’ll just reiterate that I could write a list of players as long as your arm of players who were hyped to the moon and fizzled once they hit the top grade. A lot didn’t even make it that far. After a while, you learn to take it all with a grain of salt.

Keep the personal stuff off the forum. There is enough of that from other members. Thank you.

Last night he saved the game for the Dragons in using his speed to run down one of the Eels in a great covering tackle. He and Suli had great games, as did the young prop who came on.
I remember he did the same for the Tigers a few times

The tackle he made.playing for the Tigers against the Dragons was amazing chased him down the sideline cover tackle won the game for the Tigers

So happy he is staying injury free I saw a game last year he went into 5/8 for some of the game he went alright for getting thrown in the deep

I haven’t heard that name in years. My uncle played lower grades with him. I’m pretty sure Uncle played lower grades (not footy) with his sister or cuz or something for a while.
They used to have an electrician company. Fyvie Electrical.
Same bloke isn’t it?
Yeah that’s him.
Who’s your uncle ?

How often does he make a break and goes all the way. He's got elite speed.
