I see he signed a six year contract with Wigan. It appears they want to keep him.

These contracts have NRL ‘get out’ clauses in them. The longer the contract just means the bigger the transfer fee we would have to pay.

I would try and nab Sexton for 18mths with an extra year the clubs option.

He is the best available.

I rate Latu but the kid needs time & Luai needs an origanizer. Add to that Benji views Latu more than a half & isn’t confident just yet in him (why make a multi year offer to Reynolds) so think Sexton could be of value to us.

We could do alot worse.

Personally I’m 50/50 on whether we should put our faith in and rely on Latu as our 7 or sign someone more experienced such as Toby Sexton or maybe Te Maire Martin.

Latu has barely been given a go yet …. I would at least give him the rest of this now meaningless year to assess him properly

I’d play Joey Manu fullback, but I reckon we are 1000/1 of landing him even if we offered him 1.5 million per season.

BULLSHIT about the Raiders!!

Not saying the raiders have depth in their backs.

I am saying they spent their cap on their 1-17 with enough depth to get them to the finals.

We need to spend more on our starting 1-17, a little on 1 maybe 2 backs to cover gaps and 1-3 forwards and NOTHING ELSE.

The number of Depth back signings like Naden, Staines, Faalogo, etc. it's redicous.

Maybe he can, I hope he can, time will tell.
All I’m saying is if we don’t have a back up plan for 2026 in case Latu doesn’t work out in the halves, then it would likely be yet another season down the drain.
The safe option is to ensure we have another quality halve on our books just in case.
