OFFICIAL Jarome Luai - #295

I find it interesting that some have to find fault with everything the club does this year and create arguments just because they're disappointed we aren't doing as well as we may have hoped.
Yes, it is disappointing there is no finals for us yet again but it doesn't mean you have to nitpick and whine about everything that happens. It also doesn't mean you have to argue ad nauseum with others when you don't agree with their point of view. Some people just seem to want to take it out on others on here.
Given the last 14 years, it is understandable to be disillusioned but at least give the club a couple of years with its current set up to see if there are more positive results. It's hard to turn the Titanic we have been around and it takes time.
If Benji and Richo don't have better results by the end of next year don't worry, I'll be calling for change.

Ok, so now that he’s gone, whats stopping the playing group coming together and going on a run? It should no longer be an issue given he’s out of the joint and the players are so close-knit.
Probably would have happened against manly if Jarome and Bula weren't ruled out... For us to have 4/4 players playing new positions in the spine...

But if you think any other club plays with 4 different spine players and comes up Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon's then you haven't watched enough footy

Nah, the "LG bomb was dropped" leading up to the second Parramatta match, which caused a hugely disruptive distraction, but WT then won 2 on the trot following it.
so humans just switch off emotion and never look back eh?

You don't think that what happened after that impacted the group ?

C'mon get a grip mate

You’ve moved the goalposts. Saying it’s the Galvin situation, then that gets debunked and you shift to injuries and our spine.

Luai’s origin commitments maybe. API’s concussion. Jahream’s hammy. Geez you talk out your arse at times.

No I don't, plus basically you, I and the rest of the squad knew that the situation was untenable at that point prior to round 7. It was only a matter of time.

As for Luai, so far he has both talked and walked particularly since then, with what he does next regarding his contract clause likely to define his WT tenure.

If we don’t start winning games and keep up careening towards the bottom of the ladder, his clause will be the next big drama in the game.

Why don't you ask him next time your at a game?
I thought it was a valid question, not requiring a sarcastic response. From your earlier comment I thought you maybe knew something that wasn’t general knowledge.
I’m sure he’s happy with the pay packet but those negatives I mentioned must get to him after a while.

If he decides to leave, it wouldn't be the worse thing in the world.

Are we getting the 1.2M per year that he's worth?
Occasionally but not consistently. I have been a little disappointed but I think now we have him at his correct position of 6 it should get better.
But a lot of that will also be how well Latu steps up at 7.

We're paying $1.2m a year to a guy who's only good trait is his ability to put grubbers in.

He's genuinely a bog average first grader. Most overrated in the league by a mile. Had the benefit of playing 2nd receiver on the greatest team in modern history where Cleary and Yeo did all the work organising.

Don't give me this whole "he sets standards" crap. 1. He doesn't and 2. That's what a coach is meant to do. He gives away penalties each week and shrinks even more than your jumper in the drier when the big moments comes.
