how old is young Haywood. Do we think he will get a crack at NSW Cup before season is out ?

Just WOW!!

Looking at this team, you realise just how great it was back in the day when clubs had a proper reserve grade squad - look at the wonderful names there!
And we got to see them play on the same day as the 1st grade, watch them develop and get promoted etc.
Thanks champion @Ron Brodrick's Spirit for all the memories.
And I so wish that the masters of our current NRL had the fans' perspective in following a club - sure it's blind loyalty but that is what being a fan is all about.
WOW to you also t_o, for being fair, positive and thoughtful enough to applaud fans from both sides of our JV.

Love the different reactions of the two ballboys in background.
Well spotted @coivtny. Upon closer scrutiny I noticed that our ballboy seemed to be only half the size of his Rooster counterpart. Funnily enough I couldn't help but think that this seems to be a common thread when comparing our personnel to those of other clubs! Perhaps it goes back to grass roots.

How quickly they forget, Jordan ‘Tiny’ Miller 🤣

This club shits me.

Makasini has hardly trained with the club this season, right? He's been fulfilling school rugby commitments at Newington. It's school holidays and all of a sudden, he's named on the bench of reserve grade. How about playing him in Flegg over this period, and reset for senior grades after he's finished school and in rugby league full-time next year?

The only reason I can think of that they're exposing him to open age football now is to NRL debut him later this season. Underprepared both mentally and physically.

Then we wonder why the young fellas at the club get ahead of themselves thinking they're NRL stars, or believe their development is being handled poorly.
he’s too good for flegg

How? He didn't even dominate SG Ball earlier this season.

Watch a game or two instead of throwing out uninformed opnions.
i usually agree that our development is just “sink or swim” for our youngsters but they’ve actually taken the slow approach and had continuity in their flegg side for once and they’re doing well with it. makasini was always going to be fast tracked into cup though. he’s playing off the bench will most likely swap with taylan for a half so it’s not throwing him in the deep end completely.

Not sure.......NRL Physio posted a video of a Chooks player with an injury from the tackle, stating the tackler (who I realised was Taateo) was charged with a grade 2 Dangerous contact charge.
Just saw the video, pretty bad hip drop. If that's the charge it can be anywhere from 1-4 weeks depending on priors & early plea. If that's the case, he's very lucky.
