Round 18 v Roosters

I wished for a win against the Roosters this year if nothing else.
The Tigers haven't beaten them since 2018 with that Try in the corner by Corey Thompson and the conversion by lolahea.
Its highly unlikely a win against the Roosters is gunna happen this weekend so a win against easts in 2026 is first on my wish list.
Ironically my dislike for the Rorters isn't as strong as Canterbury. How they manage their salary cap and have a reserve grade full of nrl experienced players is a mystery to me.
But I'll still be cheering for the Tigers on the weekend regardless of our history against the Roosters.

This week's player press conferences are up on Youtube: Twal, Hope, Skelton & Staines.

Interesting comment from Skelton about Latu being on the left side. Wonder if that means we'll see Latu on his favourite left side on Sunday next to Samuela, Luke L & Skelton. And AD moves over to the right which I think is his favoured (and likely means he'll be #1 field kicker).

I haven’t watched it yet, but Latu done all the damage as a left sided player when tearing up the junior reps, so you would think he is much more comfortable on that side of the field.
He was on the left last week though wasn’t he ?
Either way this Roosters line up is in no way a strong defensive line up, so our attack featuring our best attacking players such as Latu need to stand up and show us along with the entire NRL what they are capable of.

Staines mentions wanting to stick around at the club beyond the end of the year. Would be happy for the club to keep him on. Certainly strengthens our depth in the Top 30 if we have him as a next man up/reserve grader knocking on the door of the nrl team.

What happens if Adam Doueihi gets Player of the Match and leads us tj victory against the Roosters.
Does he then remain in the halves, or back to the centres regardless?

If a player can’t handle being tackled hard by the coach and/or copping a gobful from the coach, it says more about their own attitude.

Maybe all this is ‘Operation weed out the soft c***s’ like the Bulldogs did 2 seasons ago.
You might be on to something how soft do you have to be to be if you are sore after Benji of all ex players tackles you
