It's lively in PNG. Most families may chose to live in Cairns as Air New Guinea fly 10 services per week between Cairns and Port Moresby. Players may live in accommodation in Port Moresby.

Spent sometime in PNG in the aviation game, we based foreign flight crew in Cairns and would fly them over to operate flights. The hotel we used was only about 800m from the terminal in Port Moresby, nobody ever dreamed of walking, far too dangerous. Things may have changed that was about 15 years ago. Anyway will be interesting how they set the franchise up

yep dragons are close to us too on 6, they have a tough draw so we could potentially jump them if lucky

Dane Gagai and Josh Papali’i ?
Obviously both are legends of the game and having very good seasons at their respective clubs, but would moving to a new club and being a year older in 2026 be one season too long at their age ?
It’s really a flip of the coin type situation as their quality, experience and leadership could be extremely valuable , but on the other hand they may just be to old and slow come 2026.
In my opinion if we could get either or both of them on a 1 year deal, maybe with a 2nd year option in our favour at a reasonable price which I’d say is approximately 400k I would take the risk with them.
A perfect scenario could be to try and keep legends like these at our club after their playing days as coaches/mentors,

What if they were happy with around 400k ?
Obviously you couldn’t go above 500k for players in their positions at their age, but if either of them agreed to play for us at around 400k in 2026, I could potentially see some value in that.
