The Doueihi move

I’m at the stage now where they may as well start moving around the deckchairs on the Titanic …

Dway to 13 , Taylan to Center, Twal to bench , Bird can shake hands with the reserve grade coach on Monday …
I think we saw this from Benji moving douhei to 13 today... I didn't get to see the last 20 but by all accounts he did well and played direct

Against popular thoughts, I think Hunt should be there. He would have done well against the wahs. They could easily pick our small guys out, we need the big boppers l, that’s why we got him, not fir his lateral defence…
The problem is he plays less than 20minutes a game and averages 10msgres a run... Does he really make a difference.

He does not make a positive difference and that is what we need.He needed to work on his endurance when he arrived and either did not want to or gave up because it was too hard.We need at least 20 minutes out of a bench forward imho

The fact we are talking about what his best position could become 8 seasons into his career says it all.
Our attack was a rubble against Manly until Douehi moved ino the halves and sparked us.
Our attack looked better than it’s been for quite a while last week against the Roosters when Doueihi was playing in the halves.
Our attack was predictable and clunky again today until Douehi moved into a 1st receiver role and we instantly looked much better.
I’m failing to see how Doueihi in the halves or as a 1st receiver is our problem ?

Royce Hunt….jack Bird….dud buys
Didn’t Hunt say on the record he was looking to retire anyway before we offered him a contract?

I fired a kid the other day because he was still on probation because he was already not producing but also because he told me I don’t know what I want to do.

Case in point, off you go son.

He needs to start at 13 next week, if he can't handle it he is surplus to requirements for next year and we piss him off. If he steps up he could be a long term option there.

This non-tackling clown gets 3 points??

This was their first try and came a few plays after DWZ also left him on the ground...

He is not a first grade footballer and never has been - this is not Oztag FFS!!

When Douehi plays well, it sometimes pisses me off afterwards.

This guy has had so many opportunities and I know he's had injuries but he cannot play 3 or 4 good games ina row.

I know people love to hate on Luai but he's always back by tackle 1 to get to dummy half on both L or R sides of the field to create an extra man. If he isn't kicking, he's always up in the chasing line. You barely see him not get to marker.

These things are not hard to do and something Douehi can do but he does it very rarely.

But when he comes to "showing off", trying to pull a rabbit ouf out of the hat moments, he switches on and gets involved in everything.

He's clearly talented but we need people who show consistency and reliability. Douehi should be back behind the ball by tackle 1 so that the dummy half has 2-3 options. Usually, Luai has only one option and the winger gets jammed.

196cm and 98kg's.
He's big enough.
He'd be playing a different role to what Twal currently does, so we'd need a couple of second rowers that pull their weight, not the invisible man and his 5 runs for sweet F.A metres.
Yeah maybe.

He just doesn’t seem to have that aggression or willingness to get whacked or whack like those smaller Bulldogs forwards.

If he gets some mongrel about him, it could work very well.
