I, from memory think the Tigers were actually made an offer by Parramatta's
Dennis Fitzgerald to talk about becoming the Parra Tigers, as the Tiger emblem was a greater marketing tool than the eel.

But we decided to go with Magpies.
As if we went to Parra, the League would have axed MAGPIES,
And we saved them from extinction by joining with them.

Now they wish the Tigers would become extinct

That would be awesome if it worked out, but I guess I’m realistically hoping for 2 more wins, maybe Titans this week and Manly at home. Along with our last bye points I’m hoping and praying that will be enough to keep us from the spoon 🙏 I know I should be expecting more and will be pleasantly surprised if they jag 4 more wins.

If the sponsor isn't happy and they pull their support and you don't have the cash your unstable again looking for a new coach. It’s accurate, I will find where it was written about. I think it was the mole.

I can’t reveal my sources and tbh I don’t want to disturb such arrangement.

And even if I don’t want Benji as coach (at the moment), it’s highly inappropriate to enter this field of battle.

It’s his living, some bridges should never be crossed. I’m not a so-called journalist.

People don’t have to believe me, that’s ok.

An NRL player agent has engaged other NRL clubs on behalf of his STAR fringe first grade player, who is coming off contract next year. Sources say multiple NRL teams have shown interest, with several overseas clubs also circling.

Also look at the prospectus - currently they are mooting the breakaway comp; they need to sign players first before funders will back a competition. And even then the competition would be a one-off with a view to long-term if they think it went well.

But the plan to have nation-clubs from all across the globe playing... horrendous cost. Not to mention the Saudis have no care for rugby so this is pure speculatory spending and sports white-washing.

Fair enough for RTS he's 32 y.o. mercenary who wants one last million-dollar payday. You could imagine Joey Manu and other international rugby mercenaries in Europe or Japan might also be interested. Most other young blokes won't burn their careers on something that is currently so bits and pieces.

This isn't like LIV Golf, they haven't bought swathes of the best talent and the shiniest golf courses.

With 90% ownership - if Wests wanted the Tigers extinct, they’d be bloody extinct!

As for your little history lesson, Wests also held talks with Canterbury, which would have left Balmain to be axed (for what its worth) 🤷‍♂️

Just to clarify. I ignore ex-Wests Magpies idiots just as much as I ignore ex-Balmain Tigers idiots and there are roughly equivalent numbers of both categories on this forum.
If you ignore idiotic comments no matter who makes them, you won't go far wrong.
