Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

$600M of taxpayers money shouldn't be directed towards a professional sport for a team in another sovereign country. Whether it's 1% of the budget or 100% it's still a waste and there'll be nothing to show for it in 10 years - not bridge, not better road, not a port - maybe just a football team. I guess if China builds a base they'll be a long way behind the 750 bases the US has around the world.
The fine print is the , USA aren’t trying to take over must of the pacific, once china take Taiwan look out PNG and others then Australia

Oh so excited that them two will save us , Richo how long did it take u to come up with these top class players 🤔🥴
Good value signings IMO. Hope will probably be on a minimum $140K. Murray around the $90K plus NRL bonuses.

Our other dev squad for next season - Haywood, Godinet, Taupau-Moors & Broederlow - are unlikely to be NRL ready next season - so it's good to have some actual NRL ready depth in this squad.

Wow just got the news Hope and Murray I’m ok with , both good back up , but wow NO.
Appi , Staines , AD , signing on , API our captain should have been done before TDS departed , Jesus it would blow up if API decided to go else where , Richo needs to pull his finger out and get API done plus 3 min from outside our club, Hope was enough into the 30 , I would also dump one of our current asssitant coaches m who ever is the attack coach and replace him
Hopefully the next bit of news is the extension for Api (and also Starford To'a).

I don't think we'll hear much else for a while ...

1 The Bud Sullivan situation has to be sorted
2 Benji & Richo will want to see how Taylan May & Adam Doeuihi at lock perform over at least 4 weeks
3 Richo will give a chance to our fringe NRL, NSW Cup players to further press their claims for a top 30 or T&T spots - Mapapalangi, Tui'tupou, Rahme & Taateo in particular.
4 I reckon we'll try to retain one of Staines or Naden if the price is right, Staines leading atm

But one way or another they need to lock in Tino Tavana or a Dev (1 remaining) or T&T!

Starford is to fragile for mine

3 different clubs have had a decade to look at Naden..he cant make it.time to move on
Staines worth keeping at the rite $$.Talented and committed
Toa is also talented no doubt.but defence ordinary.May and Makisini will likely replace him next year...but Id like to keep him around
the players we've kept from the last 2,3 years are great depth on the right $s

Don't get too excited over the PNG side the Australian taxpayers are funding ( why I have no freaking idea) - it won't last long.

Man who won $600m from Albanese government for PNG rugby league embroiled in corruption scandal

I haven't got an issue with the deal in principle, but if the taxpayer is funding it, we should at least give the construction contracts to Aussie companies with reporting guidelines. So sick of governments being generous with our money and zero accountability.

So what your saying is that Balmain panicked and kicked possession away despite being given six again 🤣🤣🤣

And they blame Wests for being losers 🤷‍♂️
Maybe they did and maybe they didn't but whatever the reason, Wests wouldn't be here in any form if they hadn't. Just think how long your days would be if you didn't have something to endlessly rail about.
Just like many I didn't want to merge but it's a reality we had to accept and that isn't going to change.

doubt they'd hand it over to cheap chinese labor. Australian gov spends just as much in the the region fixing their potholes as ours on another level
