I know we got there in the end, but trying to get into position for the field goal, it took every fibre of their being just to give themselves a shot. Even that last play, the play the ball came from the sideline. WTF is Luai there for?

Instead of playing an adult set of driving the team towards the posts to set up for a field goal, he fartarsed about trying to break the line and score a try to be the hero.
Professionals secure the win and the field goal set was the correct play. Luai had zero to do with us setting up and kicking the winner.

He needs an attacking coach. There is no evidence of any attacking planning at all.they are just trying to play eyes up attack and see what opens up for them. The players would do a lot better with attack planned out for them.

There is a reason why we have a spine of Luai, Api and Latu and are still arse. It wouldn’t be that way with proper coaching.

Tbf Api's showing age related signs of regressing, Luai's clearly not the player his reputation makes him out to be and Latu just turnd 20.

Our coaching is poor don't get me wrong, but I don't think it's just coaching either. No one organises a thing we do on the field. It's all just hope for the best.

You watch to many games of the top teams where the backline operates at top speed and with precision, then we watch OUR boys and have the same expectations. NOT happening at this stage and that's why we are so disappointed and look to our coaches

Agree. Whether he needs to be shown the door or demoted/given a new role - not sure. But we need somebody else in there running out attack.

But like also, some of the stuff today isn’t coaching, it’s the players. There’s no way he is coaching them to not run on to the ball with any speed 😂😂😂

We favoured the middle too much.
The edge was the threat today.

Not sure the logic but the middle was not delivering today. Needed to be getting the ball to Taylan and Toa more.

Our left was causing them all sorts of trouble. They couldn’t handle Taylan and Skelton at all. Most sets in their half should have ended with a sweep to the left wing. They scored 3 tries but there was more left out there for sure.

I haven't seen any coverage, but surely moving Douehi there was supposed to deliver that through the game plan.

From just reading this thread, it seemed that it was only Terrell taking it upon himself to get the ball to Tallyn, or did I miss something?

Think we need a lock/dummy half hybrid to play the first 15/20 and then brin Api on for the lst 60 of each game. Someone with better front on defence who can just shove the ball out at a decent level. Particularly is we persist with Douiehi in the 13 (which I think we should).
